1987 928 S4 Auto, I took this car in on trade for a GTO Convertible it had been sitting for a year or so after the transmission cooler line started leaking (common for 928 S4 with catylitic converters as they cook the original rubber lines). The transmission lines have been repaired, and since we have put several hundred miles on this car. This 928 runs and drives very nice it is solid, and I would not be afraid to jump in it and take it on a road trip. The A/C is cold there are no lights on on the dash and everything works as it should. This car shows some almost imperceptible paintwork but has no signs of damage anywhere all panels have the Vin tags on them. The Kumo tires have 90% tread left on them, however there is a little cracking on the sidewalls. The timing belt and water pump has been replaced by previous owners. The original spare tire and Porsche air compressor is in the car. The original tools are missing. I have lots of pics of this car and if you would like something in specific let me know. Remembering Porsche's illustrious Le Mans history
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Not only does this weekend mark the running of the 82nd 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will also see the return of one of the race's most venerable brands to the top tiers of endurance racing. Porsche will campaign its first top-flight car since the 1998 911 GT1-98, the 919 Hybrid, at this weekend's race, in the hopes of knocking off its corporate rival, the dominant Audi team.
To understand just what a win for the 919 would mean, though, you need to look back on the intrinsic connection between the Circuit de la Sarthe and Porsche. It's a history that spans decades, dating back to the team's first win in 1970.

Porsche's 959 is still poster-worthy after all these years
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Today, we have the Porsche 918 Spyder. Before that, there was the Carrera GT. While both of those cars are dramatic departures from the traditional, rear-engine Porsche formula, they owe their very existence to another wild child of the iconic German brand - the 959.
Like so many of the great performance cars of yesteryear, the 959 was a homologation special, built just so Porsche could go racing in the clinically insane Group B rally series. Fewer than 400 959s hit the streets, but those that did were some of the most advanced cars of the 1980s. A rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged flat-six sent its power through a still-rare all-wheel-drive system, creating a race-inspired rocket that was, for a short time, the fastest production car on the planet.

'Born of a Blue Sky' brings the Amelia Island Concours to you
Fri, 03 May 2013The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.
