I'm selling my beloved 1966 PORSCHE 912. I have owned it for 3 years & have taken extremely good care of it! I even left the plastic on the floor to protect the new carpet! I hate to sell the car, but life changes happen & it's what I need to do, but that being said I'm also not in a desperate position to give this car away! The INTERIOR is like brand new. Carpet, seats, dash, head liner all redone 10 years ago. The EXTERIOR paint was painted 30 years ago in Guards Red(original color was Aga Blue) & refreshed 10 years ago. The roof needs a respray someday due to los of clear coat. DRIVETRAIN is all original except the engine. The rebuilt engine was rebuilt by THE STABLE in San Francisco with NOS OEM heads & crank which ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! It was also updated with a modern day oil filter which improves oil pressure & life of the engine. The rebuilt engine has approcimatly 8,000 miles on it. The car comes with a library of receipts & the original manual. The car is rust free & has a new suspension! The car has spent most of it's life in California & has always been garaged! I truly believe this is one of the nicest driver quality Porsche 912's on the road. This car was manufactured on 11/24/1965 below are the assembly specifications from Porsche cars North America!

Paul Walker's accident due to 'speed, and speed alone'

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

Following an investigation into the crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and driver Roger Rodas, an unnamed law enforcement source told the Associated Press that there were no signs of mechanical failure on the Porsche Carrera GT that was destroyed in the accident.
The report from The Huffington Post claims the officer in question blamed "speed, and speed alone" in the fatal accident. The same report ruled out the presence of debris in the road, which may have caused Rodas to lose control of the V10-powered super car.
Engineers from Porsche are traveling to California to investigate the accident with the help of the Carrera GT's on-board data recorder. Until then, investigators won't speculate on the car's speed at the time of the wreck.

Porsche 911: Big in Taiwan

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Porsche is continuing celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of its iconic 911. In its latest video, it's gone to Taiwan, to interview some of the folks that have grown passionate about the rear-engined sportscar over the years.
By and large, the views expressed in this video could have come from anywhere in the world. The 911 is a great car and that doesn't change from country to country. These enthusiasts have the same passion that fans in England, the United States or Germany have for the Carrera. Take a look below at the full video, to see what the 911 enthusiasts of Taiwan love about their 911s.

Porsche Macan spied, all lit up and dodging flurries

Thu, 17 Jan 2013

We've seen the upcoming Porsche Macan testing on surface roads and even on the Nürburgring, but here we have our first spy shots showing a disguised prototype doing some winter testing in snowy conditions. Still obscured by plenty of camouflage attempting to mimic its larger Cayenne sibling, we still can't get a clear look at what the Macan's face and rump are going to look like, although it does appear that some details for the front lighting are starting to emerge.
Below the headlights, those are obviously decals trying to look like turn signal lenses, but it appears that there is still some sort of lighting being hidden judging by the small circles cut into the camo. Lower in the fascia, we can also see there are LED running lights not revealed on past prototypes. The entire rear end of this Macan prototype still appears to be tacked-on camo, but the side view appears to be in production form save for the poorly disguised rear quarter windows.
As we've seen in the past, Porsche engineers are still testing the Macan alongside the Audi Q5 with which it shares its platform. There has been no word as to when we could expect to see the Macan in production or concept form, but we'd have to guess that this compact crossover is getting ready to shed its camo very soon.
