Up for grabs is a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am. A little background on the car, I purchased this from an older lady i believe in her 50's around 55 in Florida at 61,000 miles and drove it for two years and the current millage is around 88k. I used the car to commute back and forth between school and has been garaged for the past four years. I am selling the car because in need to pay off another vehichle that i currently own.

Modifications: 500 miles or less ago i had put a full exhaust system on the car to make it sound more like a muscle car. i still have the stock exhaust avilable with cats. note: the current setup doesn't have cats on it sounds meaner without them.

Car Audio: I also installed two DB 65 componet sets from polk audio and it comes with a Kicker zx 700.5 amp pushing 1100watts RMS. For subs i am packing two 12inch CVR's in a custom ground shaker box. And all the wiring for the indoor speakers is all 12gauge pro speaker wire.

The bad: the carpet has a small coke stain beyond the drivers seat. the bright switch lever needs to be replaced.
and the back window needs addhesive or you can buy a new back window already sealed just need to have it sewed the cost of that is 120 you can purchase that online.

The GOOD: the car runs great, cleanest engine bay you'll ever see,  gets attention every where.   1. just changed the oil 500 miles ago with fully synethic mobil 1    2. flushed the radiator    3. new ceramic durlast gold brake pads.  4. new duralast rotors in the front  5. new spark plugs   6. New AC compressor and lines installed by fire stone   7. new water pump  etc..... car has full maintence done except transmission flush.

If your a serious buyer  feel free to text or call me at (956) 566-0466 my name is austin

the car will be sold as is

GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
