2002 PONTIAC TRANS AM
THIS 4TH GEN TRANS AM WAS ONE OF THE LAST EVER BUILT (1969-2002). IT HAS THE WS.6 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDES UPGRADED SUSPENSION, ENGINE, HORSEPOWER,  AND BODY PARTS SUCH AS THE RAM AIR HOOD AND LIFTED SPOILER. THIS ONE HAS TRACTION CONTROL ON A ROCKER SWITCH (INCASE YOU REALLY WANT TO SMOKE THEM DOWN). ENGINE IS A 346 CU. IN. LS1 V8 WHICH PRODUCES 325 BHP FROM THE FACTORY. THIS IS THE SAME MOTOR THAT WAS IN THE CORVETTE C5 IN 2001. COLOR IS PONTIAC METALLIC SILVER.
PERSONAL UPGRADES INCLUDE:
•WINDOW TINT (EVEN REAR WINDOW, RARELY WILL ANYONE ATEMPT THIS NOW ADAYS)
•LED INTERIOR LIGHTS
•H.I.D. FOG LIGHTS
•TAIL LIGHTS TEND TO FADE, THESE HAVE BEEN SANDED DOWN AND RECLEARED.
•CLEAR SIDE MARKERS
•SHAVED MOLDINGS
•SLP SMOOTH BELLOW AND INTAKE.
•K&N AIR FILTER
•PACE SETTER LONG TUBE HEADERS
•$2000 TRANNY REBUILD IN 2011, WHICH INCLUDED A HUGHES CONVERTER AND TRANSTAR REBUILD KIT AND REDLINE 3/4 2 PACK CLUTCHES. TOPPED OFF WITH ROYAL PURPLE TRANSMISSION FLUID. TRANSMISSION WAS BUILT TO RESEMBLE THE CORVETTE TRANNY WHICH WAS BUILT TO WITHSTAND UP TO 650 HP.
•A Y-PIPE WAS WELDED IN RIGHT BEFORE THE FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC CUTOUT WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO CONTROL THE VOLUME OF YOUR EXHAUST. I WILL INCLUDE A BOLT-ON BLIND FLANGE IF YOU WISH TO CLOSE IT OFF, CURRENTLY THE MOTOR TO OPEN IT IS NOT WORKING.
•ALSO INCLUDED IS A HYPERTECH POWER PROGRAMMER .
•I HAVE AN EXTRA REAR END (MINUS PASSENGER SIDE AXLE) FROM A PREVIOUS BUILD WHICH INCLUDES AND EXTRA SET OF BRAKES AND ROTORS. ALSO IN THERE IS THE 4.10 GEARS IF YOU WANT TO SWAP THEM OUT WITH THE 3.73’S CURRENTLY INSTALLED.
•I ALSO HAVE 2 EXTRA RIMS I WAS GOING TO MOUNT SOME SLICKS ON.
•I HAVE SMOKED TAIL LIGHT COVERS.

THIS CAR IS A RARE FIND AS IT HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND HAS ALL ORIGINAL BODY PARTS. REALLY, PONTIAC DOESN’T EVEN EXIST ANYMORE. THESE CARS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR A DESCENT PRICE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY ONE WITH LOW MILES THAT’S BEEN SITTING IN SOMEONE’S GARAGE FOR AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY, THEN THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. THIS IS NOT AT ALL A SHOW CAR, I LIKE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLES, NOT OWN A $30,000 TROPHY AND CONTINUE TO PAY INSURANCE ON IT FOR NO REASON. BUT YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT. LEAVE IT AS IS, MAKE IT A TRACK CAR, DAILY DRIVER, OR YOUR MID LIFE CRISIS, WHAT EVER YOU CHOOSE THIS IS A SOLID FOUNDATION TO START WITH.

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Tue, 20 May 2014

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
