1999 Pontiac Trans Am with a Four Speed Automatic Transmission. This vehicle has the LS1 all aluminum motor. Everything works great. It has super cold ac, plenty of heat to make it through every winter. Power mirrors, windows and door locks all work. Aftermarket security system with remote start. T-Tops and they DO NOT leak. Body has one minor dent on the hood that could be removed by paintless dent removal company. Just had the water pump changed and new antifreeze added. Motor is very strong, it has no ticking, tocking, or knocking. Belts are 70%. Air filter needs to be changed soon. Transmission shifts smooth every time, and fluid looks pretty new. Tires are in moderate shape. About 65% left. Great rims none are bent, damaged curb rashed or anything theyre not suppose to be. They shine up like new. The interior is great shape. Very clean for its age. Front seats are a little worn, but have no holes or tears. The rest of the interior looks new. This trans am has a Lambo door kit on it. It also has Fancy Lights under the dash, and under the car. It had a subwoofer setup in the truck. I can throw one in if we can agree on price. Vehicle is being sold as-is personally, not a dealer. Will accept paypal for deposit, cash for the rest. If you would like to see it in person please contact me at 815 six seven four 9240, my name is Dave. This is a very solid car that drives great, looks great, and is ready to go where you want to. Please no bidders with zero feedback, and contact me if you do. Thanks for looking.

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
