~This is an absolutely stunning 1981 Firebird Trans Am. You don't find them like this everyday. 97,000 original miles, Always garaged, 4.9ltr V8, Ice cold AC, Factory 4 wheel disc brakes, 15x8 snow flake wheels, power windows, tilt and cruise. This is a 100% rust free and original Firebird. It still wears all of its original paint. Its a life long Arizona / California car. Its never seen a day of snow or a salty road in its life! You wont find one like this back east. I have the build sheet and all of the PHS docs. Can email upon request.

~The body and paint are outstanding! Finished in its factory bright red with red interior, Its one of the most honest cars you will ever see. Again, absolutely NO rust! The undercarriage is as dry as can be with no undercoating crap, no rust, no patching, no scaling, just the nice original factory red paint. The original paint still looks truly amazing! The best thing is that there is nothing hiding under a new shiny paint job.You see exactly what you're getting. They're only original once! Did I mention no rust?? :)

~The car runs and drives excellent. Engine fires right up with no smoke, leaks or funny noises. Its has great oil pressure. Does not overheat. Steering is very tight. Transmission shift smooth. Brakes are great. Ac blows cold. The car can be driven anywhere without worries.

~The interior is all original and in great shape. Dash is perfect with no cracks, still has the original working radio, all of the instruments are nice and bright. carpet is nice, headliner is good, all windows go up and down as they should. Passenger seat has a small split in one of the seams and the top part of the passenger seat has a little wear.

~All in all if you have been looking for a super nice 2nd generation Firebird with a great pedigree this is it! This car will not disappoint! It attracts tons of attention and draws a crowd everywhere. It really doesn't need anything to drive and enjoy the day you get it.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
