The Trans Am's are the next cars to increase in value over the next couple years. Now is the chance to invest in one, enjoy it and watch it give you money back.I purchased this Trans Am at the Barrett Jackson auction in april 2013. Since then, I have put in new foam and seats interior both front and back, new steering wheel, The new dash was done by Trans Am of Florida in Miami Florida to concours finish.
The body is solid.
Many listing use the word "survivor", that translates into "Nothing" has been done, This is NOT the case with this car. $$ has been spent on this car.
I have just purchased a 1969 Yenko Camaro Tribute and have decided to sell the Trans Am rather than finish what still needs to be done.I need room in my garage.
This car has New weather strips, new tires, new turbo exhaust, carpet, package tray, headliner, dash cover, sill plates, windshield, Painted in base coat clear coat PPG Paint Solar Gold,
New decals, front grills, edging around fender flares, lug nuts and center caps. Motor was taken out, it shows cleaned and painted, I don't know what other work was done, other than it runs strong, I will be adding a video this week. It has new valve gaskets, thermostate and belts.
Transmission was rebuilt. AAmco put in a new shifter cable, (I have receipt)
power windows work fine.New battery
New upper and lower balls joints, and shock absorbers all the way around by Tire Kingdom (I have receipt,5/12/13)
I purchased a new radio (period correct) totally re furbished, but has not hooked it up.
This has factory air, but I have not had it looked and it needs a new blower,I have in a box but has not installed it.
There are some slight scratches in the drivers window.and back window Again, this car is a great solid car, that just needs some minor finishes to be a great driver. I am taking a loss on this car, but it has to go, Please email with any questions.Again I will be adding a video you tube to show how everything works and runs down the road.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
'67 Chevy Corvair convertible vs. '86 Pontiac Fiero in cult classic showdown
Fri, 22 Aug 2014Every few a decades, the folks running General Motors lose their minds briefly try to market a car that public doesn't see coming and often aren't ready for. In the '60s there was the rear-engine, air-cooled Chevrolet Corvair, then the mid-engine Pontiac Fiero in the '80s and the completely bizarre Chevy SSR in the 2000s. What all of these had in common was that they bucked the trend for American models of their era, for better or worse. The latest episode of Generation Gap tasked the hosts with finding two cult classic vehicles to choose between; they came come up with two of these quirky products from The General.
On the classic side, there's a 1967 Chevy Corvair Monza convertible. Being from later in the production run, it wears slightly more aerodynamic styling than the earlier, boxier examples. Hanging out back is an air-cooled, 2.7-liter flat-six pumping out a robust 95 horsepower. In the other corner is the somewhat more modern 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a mid-mounted, 2.5-liter "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, an engine nearly ubiquitous in GM cars of the '80s.
Judging by when they were new, the Corvair was far more successful than the Fiero with over 1.8 million sold. Of course, Ralph Nader's book Unsafe at Any Speed kind of poisoned the well, even if the poor safety reputation wasn't entirely deserved. The Fiero on the other hand only lasted for a few model years before shuffling off, but it eventually got its own performance boost with the V6 version and rather attractive GT models. Check them both out in the video and tell us in Comments which you want in your garage.
Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
