WE GOT IT AND WENT THROUGH IT TO THIS POINT AND HAVE TO BAIL OUT NOW, THERE IS NO ROOM TO KEEP IT INSIDE THIS WINTER AND SINCE WE DID NOT GET IT FINISHED FOR THIS SUMMER TO DRIVE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE SO FAR. NOW WE ARE LETTING THIS ONE GO SINCE WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE WE ARE STILL FINISHING AS WELL, I DON'T WANT TO PAY STORAGE ON THIS ONE ALL WINTER.OUR LOSS IS YOUR GAIN... ALL THE HARD STUFF IS DONE FOR YOU ALREADY!
CONDITION:
THE CAR FROM SITTING HAD SOME RUST ON THE LOWER 1/4 PANEL, AND FLOORPAN. WE HAD ALL NEW PANELS PUT ON IT DONE COMPLETE AND CORRECT. NOT JUST HACKED TOGETHER, HIGH DOLLAR WAS SPENT SINCE IT IS A SPECIAL EDITION CAR. WE HAD EVERYTHING REPLACED TO MAKE SURE IT STAYS SOLID IT'S ENTIRE LIFE.. ALL NEW 1/4'S, WHEELHOUSES, ROCKERS, INTERIOR FLOORS, FENDERS, DOORS ECT. OVER $20,000.00 SPENT ON BODYWORK TO BRING IT TO CORRECT CONDITION.
THE COMPLETE UNDERBODY HAS BEEN PREPPED AND DONE. ALSO IN TRUNK AND INTERIOR FLOORS ARE ALL DONE. WE GOT RUST FREE SOUTHERN HOOD, AND FENDERS FOR IT JUST CAUSE IT HAD A SMALL HOLE STARTING ON THE ORIGINALS. THE CAR WAS NOT BAD TO START WITH WE SPARED NO EXPENSE TO MAKE IT RIGHT. THE TRUNK FLOORS AND REAR PAN WERE STILL PERFECT SO THEY DID NOT GET REPLACED. ANY AND ALL SEAMS ON FLOORS OR 1/4S WERE ALL FINISHED ON BOTH SIDES, YOU CAN'T TELL ANY WORK WAS DONE IF ON HOIST OR INSIDE CAR, ALL REPAIRS INVISABLE PRETT MUCH..
NEEDED TO COMPLETE:
BODY NEEDS TO BE BLOCKED AND PRIMED A FEW TIMES AND PAINTED.
-INTERIOR NEEDS REDONE, WE HAVE MOST PLASTICS AND SEATS, NO DASH, CARPET OR HEADLINER. BASICALLY IT NEEDS COMPLETE INTERIOR TO BE SHOW WORTHY. PLASTICS ARE CHALKY AS MOST ARE.
-ORIG 400 PONTIAC MOTOR AND TRANS HAVE NOT RUN SINCE 1983 WHEN IT WAS PARKED. THEY NEED GOING THRU, WE NEVER GOT IT OUT OF THE CAR YET. IT IS STILL IN THE CAR AS ORIGINAL.
-IT HAD MAGS ON IT SO WE BOUGHT A SET OF CORRECT 8 INCH SNOWFLAKES FOR IT. THEY NEED PAINT, THEY ARE BLUE AND NEED TO BE REDONE GOLD..
-FROM THE FIREWALL BACK AND THE ENTIRE UNDERNEITH WAS ALL DONE. SUBFRAME NEEDS CLEANING AND PAINT WHEN MOTOR IS OUT. THE CORE SUPPORT HAS SURFACE RUST AND A HOLE AROUND BATTERY AS MOST DID FROM BATTERY LEAKAGE.
-WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL GOLD T-TOPS THAT GO WITH IT. ANYTHING WE DID NOT DISCARD IS WITH THE CAR AND GOES WITH IT.
THESE CARS REDONE ARE VERY EXPENSIVE. THIS IS A GREAT INVESTMENT! ESPECIALLY SINCE WE ARE ONLY ASKING PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR FOR IT.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
