Year:1975 Mileage:0 Color: has small to medium rust spots
Location:

Taylor, Texas, United States

Taylor, Texas, United States

This is my project car, motor is completely restored. Have around $4000 in it alone! Body does need lots work. Lots of new parts, headers, 2500 stall converter, carb, plugs, wires, 4core radiator. The hurricane turbine wheels are sold with and not seperate. The engine is a 400 and is balanced and blueprinted from Kindricks automotive in San antonio. I have all the receipts and Dyno pulls from the shop. It does NOT have any hours on it. I run a little gas at a time to keep the motor loose. Tranny is a turbo 350 (Pulled and checked) Dont have the specs on the rear end but is compatible. Dyno papers read.....(PULL PEAK HORSEPOWER @4900RPM=420.3), (PEAK TORQUE @4000 RPM 497.5 FT/LB) I start restoring from the motor first, still need gas lines, and new gas tank to run engine correctly. New  brakes system all around (rotors, drums, lines, booster) to get it moving down the road.  Just dont have the time or money to finish right now. This is a very valuable car if it is restored.

This car has been family owned, and I would like to see it completely restored.
I can deliver the car depending on location for a charge. Cash only sale.

The engine is a 1969 xh 135240, the numbers dont match car or tranny. Block #'s 9799914 This is one of the better 400 built by Pontiac. I had more work done to get it at 420 hp. The engine alone is very valuable. The exterior has small to medium rust spots, chrome trim loose, and floor pans rusted through.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
