Very rare BARN FIND, 1964 pontiac grand prix. silver gray and black, DUEL FUEL. I bought this car in California in early eighties and parked in my barn for 30 some years. Still has original paint, interior, motor and trans. Body very good, (small amount of rust in bottom of fender ), floors and trunk solid. I drove it to Illinois towing a 1955 Nomad with a tow bar and used propane and gas each. 389 engine ran perfect then, but I have not started it in 30 years. Research tells me that this is a factory propane unit installed when car was new either at factory or dealer . Matching controls on dash activate propane unit and switch gas gauge to proper fuel tank. Propane tanks are above rear axle in trunk with vent visable on rear fender. Filler valves are under rear bumper. For more info call Dave 309-256-2656. ( Update 11/17/13. ) I've spent the last six weeks and many dollars, getting this car running and drivable again. Cleaned out engine, changed oil and filter three times, complete tune up and it runs great. Has good compression. Entire new brake system; fuel lines, pump, filter, carb; belts; alternator; and much more. Interior also cleaned up nice ( will add pictures later ) Very nice driver or restoration project.

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious.
