I bought this as a project car in February and I don't have time right now to restore it. We have had a lot of rain in Mississippi and I will post pictures later today. The frame is exceptionally solid. The body is solid with the exception of the rear passenger's side quarter panel and it would be best to have it replaced. The trunk floor has pin holes in it and would best to be replaced. I have a Super T10 transmission from a 1979 firebird that is in good working order. I have a complete and running 400 Pontiac motor with 6X heads from a 1978 Firebird Trans Am. I have the driveshaft and an engine from a 1967 big Pontiac car and was a 400 ci. WD code 290 horsepower unit. It was freshly rebuilt and never started. Water had gotten down into the cylinder and the surface rust is a little too deep in two cylinder walls and it needs to be bored with new pistons. I have the flywheel and clutch assemblies which are new. It was a 4 speed car and the pedals and Z bar are included. I have no rear bumper or taillights. I do not have the front valance or turn signals. All of the hideaway light system is present but needs two new actuators. I have applied for a clear Mississippi title and should receive it in 3 weeks. Mississippi did not have titles in 1968 and was able to obtain a valid title from the court system  email for any questions. 200.00 dollar deposit in 48 hours and full payment in 7 days.

The car has a lot of good qualities and a lot of things missing. It is very solid. I figure it would cost about 6000.00 to get the car driving and in primer. I have had a few people look at the car from Crackheads list and they have all noted that the car is very solid around the front and rear windows and the outer wheel houses in the rear. Front fenders are rust free and never patched.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.

GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.
