2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Social Circle, Georgia, United States
You have found what you've been looking for in this 2002 Silver Pontiac Trans Am WS6, 5.7L V8 6-speed with just over 50k miles. Interior is black and has never been smoked in, and shows little to no wear. Only blemish's are two small cracks in the driver door panel. This is a common occurrence in 4th gen F-bodies. The exterior is silver and in perfect condition, no accidents and always been well taken care of. It has always been under a car cover and garage kept. Synthetic oil change has always been done every six months due to vehicle not driven often. Battery was just replaced two week ago. I am the third owner and have owned it since 2005. This WS6 drives like new, and gets looks everywhere it goes. This car is from a time when STYLING was important and you know this car when it meets you in the road. This is the last year for the awesome Trans Am and it will never be made again. Don't miss out on a chance to own a piece of American automotive history. This car has been my pride and joy and have enjoyed every minute of driving it for almost a decade, sadly it is now time to let her go. I have the vehicle for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Please call Josh with any additional questions (678) 794-2593. Thanks for looking.

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
