Hello

Selling my 1974 Trans Am. The vehicle is a full numbers matching car. It has its original motor, trans, and rear. The docs on the car include the Build Sheet, Original Bill of Sale, AACA Certifications, etc. It was nationally judged in 2004 and won its Juniors Award. The pictures tell no lies, as it is in beautiful condition, with no rust, scratches, or checking since its restoration in the late nineties. The paint is two stage. I recently wet sanded and buffed the car, and it looks fantastic.

The car was originally a bird delete car. I installed the bird, however if you check the sheet it will confirm it as not having the option. The car now has the deluxe bucket seats,  its original had the standard package. I have the original seat covers and they are in great shape.  Other than that it is correct right down to the carburetor. It is the 400,  M20 4spd, and 10 bolt posi rear. The car runs, drives, shifts, and handles like its new. You can fly in and drive it home.

The body is straight, with great gaps. The decals are in new condition. The Honeycomb wheels were just restored with all new trim, caps, nuts, and BFG tires. They were then painted in base/clear to help keep them from deteriorating. The undercarriage is detailed and is beautiful condition. The interior is as new also. New carpet, seat covers, mint panels and headliner.

I recently removed the engine, and a completely detailed the engine compartment.

Any questions feel free to ask. I've taken numerous photos that will give a great appreciation for the car. I'd give the car an easy 8 out of 10. Any higher and it becomes a flat out show car never to be driven. I will consider trades up or down with cash. Cars only, and projects considered.  I may be reached at 302-229-0844

PLEASE NOTE: UNITED STATE SALES ONLY. WE WILL NOT SHIP OR SELL OUT OF THE COUNTRY UNLESS SPECIAL ARRANGEMEBTS HAVE BEEN MADE

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
