We bought this car off of Ebay two years ago. The car had a stock rebuilt 360 and a 727. The previuos owner had the car painted Petty Blue. This car is an original 318 Hemi Orange Twister.

My wife said she only wanted three things for the car a cam, reverse manual body and floor mats. The transmission that came with the car gave us problems and that started the snowball. 
Went to Summit and bought a TCI Tranny... Hughes 3500 stall converter...
Called Mike at Muscle Motors and he told me he had a 1970 340 stroked to 416 cubic inch. The motor was on the dyno and broken in at 400 HP. I had to have it so I had him deliver it to the Mopar Nats. While I was at the Mopar Nats I picked up all brand new brackets, pulleys, alternator, thermostat housing everything to go on a crate engine. Then when we got home we ordered a Wizards Cooling Radiator with custom four fan shroud.  
I installed the 340 decals and my wife wanted the ladder bar treatment on the hood. The original hood scoops and bezels were showing some age so I bought new scoops and bezels. 
Since my wife wanted the manual valve body I fabricated a mounting plate under the factory center counsel with a hurst quarter stick.

What the car still needs:
There is fog on the passenger side of the windshield.
The wiring is a mess so i bought a complete dash wiring harness with air conditioning because the car came from the factory with air. Which needs to be installed.
The rug is new but it is junk I wanted to replace with a new molded rug.
Custom four fan shroud built by Wizards needs to be installed.

The overall condition of the car:
The car has a mirror like finish but has several blemishes. Top of passenger side door... rear passenger side quarter near bumper...in front of driverside rear wheel. I will show in pictures and try to make a video. 

We got the car together last July and my wife hit almost every cruise night over the summer. We also hit two to three major car shows per month including Mopar Nationals, Syracuse Nationals.  In a short period of time we had a lot of fun and used this car a lot but we have two kids and we really need a B body so the kids can have more leg room. 

This is a great street car that rides smooth, has the convenience of power steering and power disc brakes. We got to the Syracuse Nationals late there were over 8000 cars. We could not find a spot to park and we idled through the crowds for 55 minutes trying to find a place to park. It was a hot summer day if that car was ever going to overheat it would have that day and it didn't. It didn't even get close to 200 degrees.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
