This is a Used 2004 Nissan Titan 4X4. I have never mud hogged the truck. The 4X4 system works perfect and has been tested moving trailers in the pasture. Truck runs great, just spent 2,000.00 dollars on tuneup, new brakes and rotors and seals. Does have minor cosmetic damage to the both front bumper cover which need replacing, which can be replaced on E-bay for roughly $100.00 plus painting. I will pay to have repaired for a serious buyer.  The CD player is not currently working, but the AM/FM works fine.  I hate to sell this truck, it has been good to me and very reliable. I have pulled a tractor on a car hauler to see what it will handle and it does great. I am currently in the need of some additional money to pay off another debt otherwise it would not be for sale. Then interior has a small tear in the drivers seat. There are 2 or 3 small ripple dents on the hood (hardly noticeable) and sides of pickup, nothing too noticeable or that cant be fixed. The right rear quarter has a scratch in the paint also. I will try to make this clear in photos. For the price even with minor defects it is a steal. I will not be low balled, but I know what my reserve asking Price is. The motor has plenty of power and runs good. A/C will freeze you out.  Buyer pays for all shipping and pickup. I will load and drive to within 100 miles if you can coordinate on my days off. This is something we will work out. Also if I drive the 100 miles, then buyer agrees to pay for my gas, which would probable be about $100.00. Thank you and good luck on the auction.

Nissan had to re-edit this commercial two times to placate Aussie ad watchdog [w/poll]

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

Nissan recently aired a commercial in Australia for its Pulsar SSS hatchback - think of it as a five-door relative of our Sentra - in which a couple is seen hastily making their way to the hospital ahead of giving birth. But the ad you can watch now isn't the same ad that aired originally - in fact, Nissan had to re-edit the commercial twice before the Australian Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) would accept it.
According to Go Auto, the original ad received complaints that it depicted unsafe and reckless driving, including speeding, following cars too closely and screeching to a halt upon arriving at the hospital. One of the complaints reportedly read: "The advertisement promotes driving behavior (rapid acceleration/deceleration/changes of direction) that is counter to sound medical advice regarding the carriage of heavily pregnant women in motor vehicles."
In the first edit, Nissan lowered the vehicle's engine noise, removed the woman's speech urging the man to drive faster ("Go, go, go!") and inserted a disclaimer that read "Filmed under controlled conditions," according to Go Auto, but all of that still wasn't enough to appease the ASB.

Renault planning a Tata Nano rival. Again.

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Four years ago, Renault confirmed that it would partner with India's Bajaj Auto to develop a rival to the Tata Nano. At the time, as everyone waited for the Tata Nano to arrive, you could have used a Richter scale to measure the tremors the executive suites of any automaker with an interest in the low end of emerging markets. Then the Nano, still the cheapest car in the world, didn't sell so well - at the end of last year its sales were just six percent of its most conservative projections - and everyone seemed content to let Tata spend the money to figure out if there really was a market for the cheapest car in the world.
Renault believes there is, kind of. Automotive News Europe reports that it will partner with Nissan to build two low-priced cars for emerging markets, one for €3,000 ($3,888 U.S.) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 U.S.). The price of the least expensive offering is nearly $1,400 more than a Nano, which costs $2,500, and that can't be considered a small sum in comparison. But one of the hindsight knocks on the Nano has been that even in emerging markets buyers don't want a car whose biggest lure is that it is cheap; they'd rather give their aspirations a bit more of a workout.
Renault's offerings are scheduled to hit the non-Western market in late 2014, which is coincidentally the same year that will see the return of the budget-minded and emerging-market-specific Datsun nameplate. They'll be built in Renault facilities in Chennai, India, with no mention made of Bajaj this time around.

Did Nissan send a ringer GT-R to run the 'Ring? [w/video]

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

It turns out that after toting a 7:08 time around the fearsome Nürburgring Nordschleife for the new Nismo-tuned GT-R, Nissan might not have been entirely honest about the car it was using. From what we've been hearing from a few different publications, the GT-R featured in the video isn't what we're going to see on the production model.
PistonHeads reported on the so-called "Time Attack" GT-R while it was in Japan for the Tokyo Motor Show, going so far as to detail the differences between it and the standard GT-R Nismo. And friends, this isn't just a matter of swapping tires. The mods made to the Time Attack car are far more comprehensive.
For a start, the TA produces more downforce thanks to larger aerodynamic pieces. It's some 110 pounds lighter than the standard car, thanks to new bucket seats. The ECU and dampers have been swapped for new units, and the brake pads are different as well. If you've read this far, you might be feeling slightly angry or betrayed that Nissan is toting numbers for a modified car. Don't be.
