THIS WAS RUNNING GREAT AND THEN IT STARTED RUNNING LIKE IT HAD WATER IN THE GAS. IT SMELLS LIKE IT IS RUNNING REALLY RICH. THEN IT WOULD DIE. I REPLACED THE COIL AND FUEL FILTER AND THEN TOOK IT IN. $1,000 LATER IT STILL DID THE SAME THING AND HE SAID I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO SOMEONE WHO COULD PUT IT ON A BETTER MACHINE. I NEVER DID AND IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. SINCE 07 I THINK. I HAD THE BELTS REPLACED IN 06. IT HAS LOTS OF ANNOYING ISSUES. THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS ARE OFF TRACK AND WILL NOT ROLL UP. THE LOCK DOES NOT WORK. IF IT GETS LOCKED, THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET IN IS WITH THE KEY THROUGH THE BACK. THERE ARE SOME SMALL DENTS AND DINGS. THE DRIVERS SEAT IS IN REALLY BAD CONDITION. THE LEATHER IS TORN AND PART OF THE INSIDE IS MISSING. AT SOME POINT IN TIME, THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE ORIGINAL ENGINE REPLACED WITH A REBUILT ENGINE. I THINK THAT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND 2000. SO I EXPECT THE MILEAGE THAT SHOWS INCLUDES THE MILEAGE ON THE OLD ENGINE ALSO. IT GETS ABOUT 16 MPG. IT WILL NOT SMOG NOW. THE PLASTIC GISMOS OUTSIDE IN FRONT OF THE WIPERS ARE BROKEN. THE FINISH ON THE PAINT IS FLAKING. IT IS DIRTY TOO. I EXPECT IT CAN BE REPAIRED AND PUT BACK ON THE ROAD OR IT WOULD BE A GOOD PARTS VEHICLE. YOU WILL NEED TO PICK IT UP HERE AT MY HOUSE. First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.
Nissan Rogue redesigned with three rows for 2014
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Nissan has been on a roll lately, redesigning its core model line with all-new versions of the Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra and Versa Note released this year. But the Japanese automaker wouldn't leave out the Rogue, its second-best-selling model in the US.
Like the Range Rover Sport, Mitsubishi Outlander and Ford Explorer, the second-generation Nissan Rogue has gained an optional third row of seats for seven-passenger capability. Along with the middle and rear rows, the front passenger seat can also be folded flat for the benefit of cargo capacity, and the cabin has been redesigned for an airier look and feel.
Despite the added space inside, the new Rogue is only marginally larger than the model it replaces, with a 0.6-inch longer wheelbase offset by shorter overhangs front and rear. A lower drag coefficient ought to help reduce wind noise and improve fuel consumption as well.
Nissan reports $4.13B net income for 2012
Sat, 11 May 2013The news for Nissan is good when it comes to the company's results for the 2012 financial year that ended on March 31. Even though the numbers were down in many of the world's major markets, increased sales in the US, Brazil and the Middle East, ten new models and a strong fourth quarter allowed Nissan to hit its target for the year and notch record sales of 4.914 million units globally. On net revenue of $116 billion, Nissan posted net income of $4.13 billion and an operating profit of $6.31 billion.
There are upward-looking projections for this year, Nissan forecasting a 7.8-percent jump in sales to 5.3 million units, with $117.89 billion in net revenue and $4.42 billion in net income. That net revenue number probably won't actually match what's reported next year, though, because Nissan is changing its accounting method and won't include revenue and operating profit results from its joint venture with China's Dongfeng. Net income doesn't change under the new method, but the adjusted net revenue forecast is $109.16 billion.
