You are bidding on a 2004 Nissan Maxima SL 3.5 V-6 that we are selling with no reserve. Mechanically this vehicle is perfect the 3.5 V-6 has amazing power and runs and drives as it should, and the transmission shifts very smooth through all of the gears. Interior of the vehicle is also very clean there are no rips or tears at all in the leather, no major stains, and there is no smoke smell at all. All of your interior options do work as they should and the A/C blows ice cold air. Exterior of the vehicle is good, the only negative thing I could find wrong with vehicle is on the hood there are some dents throughtout it and the front bumper also has some chipping that has been touched up, other than that there are just a couple dings on vehicle but no major body damage at all. There are brand new snow tires on the vehicle now and also 4 pretty much brand new all season tires to go along with the vehicle.. Overall this is a very nice Maxima that we are selling with no reserve . We are selling this vehicle locally so auction may end early, also add $131 Doc Fee to final price (Dealership policy). Some NY cabs could avoid hybrid ban
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The Nissan NV200 is having a rough go of it as New York City's Taxi of Tomorrow. The Greater New York Taxi Association wants the van banned on the grounds that it isn't a hybrid, and has gone so far as to sue the city to keep the NV200 out of taxi fleets. According to The New York Times, the city has responded by proposing to allow taxi drivers to use certain hybrid vehicles. The Taxi and Limousine Commission's proposal would allow any vehicle with an interior volume of 138 cubic feet or more. Unfortunately, that excludes nearly every machine that isn't the size of the NV200.
Technically, Nissan is working on a hybrid version of the Taxi of Tomorrow, but it may be years before that model hits the streets, and the Greater New York Taxi Association isn't satisfied with the city's offer. In a statement, the Association said, "These rules look like they have been created to short-circuit the litigation. We do not consider this to be a serious proposal."
Tesla poaches Renault-Nissan communications boss Sproule
Thu, 13 Mar 2014Need another sign that Tesla is growing into a force to be reckoned with? Bloomberg reports it has just snagged high-profile communications boss Simon Sproule from Renault-Nissan to become the EV maker's vice president of communications and marketing.
Sproule is an industry veteran, having spent 20 years at Nissan (where he grew to become CEO Carlos Ghosn's right-hand man). In addition, he logged stints at Ford, Jaguar (when it was still a Blue Oval-owned brand) and Microsoft. Despite all that experience, Sproule is still young, at just 45 years of age, as Bloomberg points out, yet he's held positions in the US, Japan and France over the years.
This is all good news for Tesla, which is in need of a strong spokesman outside of company CEO Elon Musk. It's been battling with the state of New Jersey and its governor, Chris Christie, over direct sales in the Garden State.
Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
