Well, it is time to let my pride and joy go.  It has been adult owned and driven.  I have a kid in college now and I don't drive this enough to justify it.  I am the original owner.  I purchased it new in July 2007.  It has always been garage kept and I have only taken it out on pretty days.  I have a nissan cover that I will throw in on the deal for free.  I have normally covered it while it is in the garage unless I hit a spell where I was driving it due to good weather.  It currently has less than 13,700 miles on it.  I listed the mileage as 14,000 because I may have it out a bit between now and when it sells.  This has been my 2nd car.  I don't think you would ever find a nicer one or one with such low miles on it.  It is a little dusty so I will have it cleaned up and detailed for you prior to picking it up or shipping it.  Shipping at purchaser's expense but I will cooperate with your shipping agent.  It is all stock and original.  It does have the premium BOSE sound and chrome wheels.  The chrome wheel package was around $2500 as I remember.  These are Nissan chrome rims.  It was just inspected a month or two ago.  I really hate to let it go but it is time.  I have clear title in hand. $1000 deposit within 48 hours and balance due within 7 days and before shipping or pickup.   Will need to be able to verify certified funds before signing the title over.  The oil has been changed very frequently by the dealer.  Normally, I have tried to change to oil in it about every 1,000 to 2,000 miles since I have driven it so infrequently.  I am just asking roughly the trade in value.  I am not trying to get the retail value of this vehicle.  I believe that is a fair price considering the low mileage and condition.  These things run almost 50K these days brand new.  Message me if you have any further questions.

Nissan gets new NA boss, lowered forecasts in management shakeup

Sat, 02 Nov 2013

José Muñoz, a Nissan and Infiniti sales and marketing vice president, will replace Colin Dodge as Nissan's new North America chief, come Jan. 1, as part of a wide-ranging management shuffle, Automotive News reports. Dodge will remain on Nissan's board, be assigned to special projects and report directly to CEO Carlos Ghosn.
Nissan is working on reorganizing its global operations into six regions, each with a new chief: North America (Muñoz' territory), Latin America, Japan-Southeast Asia, China, Europe and Africa-India-Middle East. Currently Nissan divides the globe into three regions, the Americas, Europe-Africa-India-Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Nissan also lowered its sales forecast from 5.3-million vehicles to 5.2 million for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2014. Last year, the company sold 4.914 million in the same period. In May, after Nissan's market share had fallen to 7.7 percent, Ghosn said he wants to double sales in the US by 2017 and increase its market share in the country to 10 percent.

Meet Sparky, Nissan's Leaf-based, Frontier-bedded EV parts hauler [w/video]

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

For many enthusiasts, the concept of the ute - a car with a pickup bed - is somehow irresistibly appealing. On paper, it promises the marriage of a truck's utility and a car's superior driving dynamics, and for that reason alone, we'd love to see more of them. Yet while other parts of the world get them in good numbers, North America doesn't ever see them - at least not for long. Based on what we've seen of late, though, that's not due to a lack of motivation on the part of engineers.
BMW wowed us several years ago with an M3 ute, and earlier this year, some interns converted a Mini Paceman into the pickup-bodied Paceman Adventure. Loathe to let their rivals in Munich and Oxford have all the fun, Nissan has built its very own car-based pickup. Meet Sparky, the world's first Leaf Frontier.
Like the M3, this all-electric ute is used as a parts hauler for Nissan's engineering teams at its sprawling Stanfield, AZ tech center and proving grounds.

Nissan Leaf Nismo RC Concept [w/video]

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Nissan took the wraps off its Leaf Nismo RC Concept at the New York Auto Show more than two years ago. As inferred, the vehicle shares many of its pure-EV components with the production Leaf currently sitting in your dealer's showroom. But don't assume the concept is a placid, family friendly, four-place, front-wheel-drive plug-in for grabbing groceries - the RC (as in "Racing Challenge") is a purpose-built, two-seat, rear-wheel-drive prototype race car tuned for the short track.
The RC Concept is fitted with an 80-kW AC synchronous motor driving the rear wheels and drawing power from a 48-module lithium-ion battery. While the motor and battery are nearly identical to the consumer-friendly Leaf, a sleek full carbon-fiber monocoque body shell and a slew of other enhancements mean the RC is 40-percent lighter, a foot shorter in overall height and nearly seven inches wider than its commuter namesake. Nissan says the RC Concept will hit 62 miles per hour in about 6.8 seconds, top out at 93 mph and run for about 20 minutes under race conditions (it will accept an 80-percent charge in 30 minutes with a quick-charger). Understandably, if a zero-emissions motorsport series comes to fruition, the races would be short and nearly silent.
We caught up with the Leaf Nismo RC concept in Southern California, where we were offered the opportunity to zip it around a tight autocross at the former Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro.
