I am selling my 2006 Nissan 350Z base Coupe.  It only has 59,365 miles.  It has black cloth seats and a 6-speed manual transmission.  This is a fun car and handles great.  I have never abused it, I have never taken it to the track or raced it.  The car drives great and has no issues with the engine, transmission, or clutch.  There is nothing mechanically wrong with the car.  The car has factory 18" wheels with functioning tire pressure monitors.  The tires have plenty of tread left on them.  The car has factory Xenon HID headlamps and factory LED taillamps.  I replaced the battery in November 2012.  I installed a Kenwood CD player with an iPod/USB connection and bluetooth.  I have the original AM/FM single CD player that came with the car.  I will send it with the car or have it reinstalled if you would prefer it.  The only negatives are the wheels have some curb rash, the front bumper has a couple of marks, nothing major and the windshield has one mark, see the photos.  I really don't want to sell it but I need something with a back seat for my 2 kids.  I have the title in hand. Please make sure you have the finances before you bid or make an offer.  I will require a $500 deposit by Paypal within 24 hours.  The remainder is to be paid by cash, bank transfer, or cashiers check.  If you have any other questions after seeing the photos, e-mail me and I'll be happy to answer any questions and consider any offers.  The car is in Metairie, Louisiana.  Thanks.

2014 Nissan Versa Note pushes the little hatchback forward

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

Alright, truth time: The Nissan Versa isn't exactly our favorite car in the subcompact class. It's certainly competent, reliable transportation, but it's hardly an emotional purchase choice. Perhaps this new version of the Versa, then, can change our minds a bit. Meet the Versa Note - the cuter, five-door version of the li'l sedan, making its debut here at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
Aesthetically, the Versa Note is a pretty pleasant-looking thing; we've seen it before in JDM-spec. It's a decidedly aerodynamic thing, too, with a drag coefficient of just 0.29. And because of that - as well as an efficient little powertrain - the Note will achieve up to 40 miles per gallon on the highway.
Under the hood is Nissan's 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine churning out a furious 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque. Like, well, every other Nissan car, the Versa is equipped with a continuously variable transmission and will drive the front wheels exclusively. Base S models can be had with a five-speed manual transmission, but the moment you step up to a higher trim level, the do-it-yourself shifter goes away.

Nissan Canada to end Versa sales with Micra launch

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

There's plenty of space in Canada. In fact, with the second largest land mass of any country in the world, Canada has a population density of just nine people per square mile. But apparently there isn't enough room for more than one cheap Nissan in the True North, Strong and Free.
As you may recall, Nissan Canada recently announced it would begin offering the Micra hatchback with a starting price of less than ten thousand Canadian dollars - significantly less than the nearly $12k it charges for the Versa sedan. As a result, Nissan will reportedly cease offering the Versa sedan in new home of the olympic gold medal for hockey.
Apparently the Versa was a slow seller in Canada, a country in which European tastes tend to prevail - particularly in the Eastern provinces - more than they do in the United States to the south. Nissan evidently hopes that the Micra (a model created principally for the European market) will do better than the American-centric Versa ever did there. According to sales numbers cited by Automotive News, Nissan sold barely more than 12,000 Versa sedans and hatchbacks in Canada last year, but over 117,000 in the United States.

Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
