US $7,999.00
Year:1991 Mileage:124500 Color: is the front bumper has a crack in it
Location:

I have a 91 eclipse gsx for sale. It is a 5 speed manual with 124,xxx miles on the body but only a little over 3,000 on the engine. The engine is completely stock and is not a rebuilt engine. I bought it with the engine in it from the previous owner and he did show documentation for the engine so it is legit. Previous owner purchased a NEW Motor which came in a crate from Mitsubishi, despite what some (DSM) people might say this is a brand new engine not a rebuild. There is work done to the car and it was all done by the previous owner at a professional shop. The car is in great shape and is one of the nicest I have ever seen. The engine runs strong. No secrets or nothing to hide I just don't drive the car since it's not my daily driver and hate to see it just sit around. Below is a list of everything that was done. Car is rust free, no dings or dents. Only thing wrong with the exterior is the front bumper has a crack in it ( see pics ). I can either get this professionally fixed before vehicle is shipped or purchased, or if buyer would like it as is then I will take some money off.

SHIPPING : WILL SHIP ANYWHERE IN THE US AT BUYER'S EXPENSE – I AM WILLING TO MEET YOU TO SHOW THE CAR IF YOU LIVE WITHIN REASONABLE DISTANCE. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TITLE, TAXES AND TAGS

Please email me with any other questions you may have. I can send videos or more pics if needed.

Previous owner dyno tuned the car and it put down 330HP to the wheels

The worst rally driver you've ever seen

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Fast cars and excellent driving skills might be the easy answers when asking how to succeed in rally racing, but after watching this video, a good teammate is obviously an important aspect of this sport, too. During the 2013 Rally of Coimbatore in India, driver Samir Thapar and his co-driver, Vivek Ponnusamy, didn't seem to be on the same page as the two attempted to navigate the course in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
We'd probably hear drastically different stories if we talked to Thapar and Ponnusamy about this particular event, but you know things are bad when "stay on road" and "turn the wheel" are commands given by the co-driver (and yes, that's a man running for his life in the screen shot shown above). As it turned out, though, it seems like the Ponnusamy was justified in his concerns to take care of the racecar. Race results show that despite winning three of the seven stages, this team ultimately ended the race with a DNF.
Scroll down to watch the video, and even though it's been edited down from almost 40 minutes to less than four, we get the idea that it wasn't a pleasant experience for driver or co-driver.

Mitsubishi boss says US operations may break even next year

Sat, 23 Nov 2013

Mitsubishi has lost money in its North America operations every year since 2007, but in an interview at this week's Tokyo Motor Show, company president Osamu Masuko said, "If things keep going well, it might be the case that we break even this year," Automotive News reports.
A little context: Last month Mitsubishi predicted that it would lower its operating loss in the region to 4-billion yen ($40.7 million) by March 31, the end of the fiscal year, well below the previous fiscal year's operating loss of more than five times that amount. Reflecting that, production at the Japanese automaker's sole North American factory in Normal, Illinois, has grown to 56,630 vehicles through October, compared to 27,339 through the same period last year.
The plant makes the Outlander Sport for the US and for export to markets such as Russia, the Middle East and Latin America. Interestingly, out of the 56,630 Outlander Sports built at the Illinois plant through October, only 20,150 were sold in the US.

Mitsubishi boss confirms new Mirage for US; i EV enduring dismal sales

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

By March, Mitsubishi expects to have sold just 55,000 cars in the US this fiscal year. That's a tiny sum - by comparison, Honda has sold over 276,000 Civic models thus far this year - and that's just one vehicle, not an entire brand. Mitsubishi president Osamu Masuko recognizes this is not a tenable position, and he's hoping the company will shift 80,000 units next fiscal year. Warding off speculation, Masuko has repeatedly stated that his company will not retreat from the US market like competitor Suzuki.
We reported on one part of Masuko's plan, the updated Outlander, and now he has confirmed that the small Mirage will be sold in the US beginning next September. The cut-price hatchback is selling well enough that Mitsu's Thailand plant is at its full capacity of 150,000 cars. "And even at that level it's not keeping up with orders," Masuko tells Automotive News. Masuko went on to say the plant would be expanded next year to handle an extra 50,000 units. We can also expect the Outlander plug-in early 2014.
