I have for sale a very clean RARE 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. It is factory twin turbo, and all wheel drive. The car is loaded, and has leather seats and interior. Car has new clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. Transmission has been inspected, and is in good shape. Tires are in good shape, and paint is mostly original with some panels painted due to gravel chips, and parking lot dings. This is a very nice original car in good mechanical condition. This car has a clean Carfax, and has 104,212 documented miles. The Carfax on this car shows no history of accident/damage, no open recalls, no history of airbag deployment, no structural damage, no total loss, and the odometer check documents the mileage history on this vehicle. I will require the winning bidder to pay a non-refundable $1,000.00 deposit through Pay Pal within three (3) days of the auction end, and the balance is to be paid within seven (7) days of the auction end. Mitsubishi previews diesel hybrid pickup concept, next-gen EV for Geneva
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Mitsubishi has a long history of tidy little pickup trucks, and the Japanese automaker is apparently looking to extend that heritage in a bolder, bigger way with the Concept GR-HEV, a "sport utility hybrid truck."
The future-think show star, slated to be unveiled at next month's Geneva Motor Show, is actually tipped to be a much larger effort - Mitsubishi says it's applying its hybrid technology to a one-ton truck for the first time. The GR-HEV is powered by a complex powertrain composed of a diesel engine and electric motors, which the company believes is better suited to the sort of heavy-duty work required in the segment. The concept also employs full-time four-wheel drive and a development of Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control system (which governs things like stability and brake force control along with an active center differential) as seen on the production Lancer Evolution.
In related news, Mitsubishi has also confirmed that it will show a next-generation electric showcar at Geneva dubbed Concept CA-MiEV. With this new concept (inset photo), the company says it is looking to build on the learnings of its i citycar and take EVs out of their limited urban roles. To that end, the CA-MiEV boasts "next generation EV systems and high density batteries" that give it a range of 186 miles.
Mitsubishi Evo successor on hold?
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Just take one look at Mitsubishi's latest vehicles, both concept and production, and it's obvious that fuel economy - not performance - reigns supreme. With this in mind, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Caradvice.com.au is suggesting that Mitsubishi is putting development of future performance models (like the 2013 Lancer Evolution GSR shown above) on hold as the company focuses on electric and plug-in vehicles.
In speaking with Mitsubishi managing director of product projects Ryugo Nakao at the Tokyo Motor Show, the publication says that the entire Lancer redesign is on hold, meaning that the aging Lancer Evo and Ralliart will have to contend with fresh performance models like the Volkswagen GTI and Subaru WRX. That being said, the article doesn't completely shut the door on another Evo - in fact, it goes on to indicate that when a new generation does hit the streets, it will almost certainly do so with some sort of electric-assisted powertrain, an oft-repeated rumor that got its legs as early as 2010.
