Selling My 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL 5-speed manual. The car has 105,xxx miles. White, Red Leather Interior. Digital Climate Control, Electronically Controlled Suspension, among other features. Car is in excellent shape, have all reciepts from work done on car. Here is a run down of everything you need to know about the car:
-Computer Rebuilt (lifetime warranty) -New timing belt/water pump -New belts/hoses -Exedy clutch installed at 90k -3sx Downpipe -Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors all around, ceramic brake pads, calipers painted gloss red - 265/35/18 Nexen N3000 tires, less than 3k miles on them, with 18x9 black gloss Saleen Replica Rims. - Black 20% tints - Interior: 9/10 - Immaculate aside from rips in drivers seat which have mainly been patched, and cracked defroster vents. -Body: 8.5/10 No dents, but one fender and front bumper may need to be painted. The Bad: - The Transmission will occasionally pop out of reverse, if the car is warmed up its much less frequent. Goes into 1-5 smoothly. In 5th gear it moves slightly if you tap/release the gas. - SRS/ABS lights are on. Fairly common for these cars. -Drivers Side fog light has been removed. I have a replacement just have not had time to install it. -Shifter has some free play, but I have a stabilizer bushing kit from 3sx that will be included with purchase. -Tachometer does not work This is a very clean, well maintained car. Mitsubishi says 2016 Outlander PHEV for US 'will be completely different'
Tue, 08 Jul 2014While attending the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with Mitsubishi we got a chance to speak to three Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) executives about the Outlander PHEV, how the brand is strengthening its lineup and how it plans to promote that.
The Outlander PHEV that's quickly and quietly rolling off lots in Japan, Europe and Australia right now is not the same model we're going to get when it arrives in Fall 2015, with MMNA Executive Vice President Don Swearingen and US PR chief Alex Fedorak telling us that "it will be completely different." It can probably be viewed as the next-generation vehicle, part of the "major restyle in 2016" that will reskin the model in the new design language being applied to the brand's crossovers.
Its hybrid system is being tuned for more refinement, and the same work being done on the interior.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV faces longer delays, might not arrive until 2016
Thu, 22 May 2014It seems every time the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV makes the news the information concerns a delay, and the reason always centers on its batteries. Four months ago the culprit was restricted battery supply from Lithium Energy Japan, pushing the arrival to 2015. This time it's no different, with Automotive News reporting that a battery-related request made by California state regulators will push the Outlander PHEV arrival back to "late 2015 or early 2016."
CA authorities want all plug-in hybrids to be fitted with a monitor for the lithium-ion batteries that will be on the lookout for degradation, the concern being that diminished batteries could change the vehicle's emissions. Getting the technology fitted and tested means something like a 16- to 22-month delay.
The extra time, however, should let Mitsubishi figure out what it's going to do about its battery supply since the current level of 4,000 per month isn't enough to support a US launch; the Automotive News article says Mitsubishi expects a volume of 63,000 plug-ins for 2016. The company hasn't said how it plans to make up the balance.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution's curtain call will come with more power
Thu, 28 Aug 2014We love the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, but by this point, we've accepted the fact that the its days are numbered, despite the noticeable back and forth that accompanied rumors of the vehicle's future for so many months and years. And while the Evo's coming death in 2015 is pretty sad, a report from Automotive News claims that the road-going rally machine will at least be leaving with a fairly substantial bang.
According to AN, Mitsubishi will send off the Evo with a Special Action Model. Limited to between 2,000 to 2,500 units and destined exclusively for the United States, the Evo X SAM should boast, most notably, a bump in power for its 291-pony, 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. There should be a few other performance tweaks to accompany the increased output, although it's unclear what those might be. AN claims the limited-edition model will drop during the last six months of Evo production, some time next year.
AN's report was confirmed to us by Mitsubishi spokesman Alex Fedorak, who said that, yes, there will be "a US special edition in 2015." We've asked for additional information, but all we've heard back, so far, is that mum's the word. Here's hoping we won't be waiting too long to get official details.
