This is a sweet little car that has been in storage inside a garage for quite a few years. Since coming out of storage it has gone through some work, and is in good running condition. Carb has been rebuilt, and it also has a new battery. Starts right up, and sounds good!
It has had some front end work, including bushings and front disc brake conversion. New shocks both front and back.
Tires are also new. They are white walls, but the white walls are on the inside of the tires right now.
Front and rear bumper have been rechromed, and look lovely!
New door handles inside and out. New Door Sill plates. New Headliner. New marker lights. Not all of the new items have been installed, but do come with the car.
The car has 1969 Cougar wheels on it now, but also comes with the original hubcaps.
All glass is good.
Body is very solid with no rust or damage at all! The only rust found is some minor rust in the trunk area, which is common in most Cougars.
Interior is original, and does have some splits. New seat covers are easy to come by for Cougars, and are not expensive.

Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls

Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
