THIS IS NOT A RUSTED VEHICLE. This is a rare 1970 Cougar that is an orginal Blue w/White Vinyl top. It also has the rare "Houndstooth" interior(488 produced). This car needs restoration, but is a great candidate. Floors, trunk and under hood are all very solid. 351w is missing intake manifold, radiator is missing, windshield is broken, no front bumper and hood front is missing. Some emblems and chrome in trunk. Passenger seat and back seat are very good condition. Drivers seat has tears. Body is very straight, and very solid. NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
