2000 Mercedes-benz Slk230 Kompressor Convertible 2-door 2.3l on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
I am helping my father-in-law sell his baby. Here is what he writes:
My side vision is not good after a stroke in 2012 and I cannot drive safely. Reluctantly, I have decided to sell my gorgeous car. I am the original owner. She is a beautiful 2000 Mercedes Benz SLK 230 Convertible, with very little mileage at under 25, 600. Seriously. It is basically a new 2000 car. She is in immaculate condition except for one slight bump on the right front fender, should be easily corrected. She is stored in my garage and kept pristine. Get in, start her up and be safe! Let the top down and feel the wind through your hair (cannot really vouch for that experience as I am pretty much bald). It is powered by a 4 Cylinder with automatic transmission. It is black on black, soft leather interior. It provides the driver with an exhilarating experience!! Whether you like the open country roads and corners or cruising around town she is a fantastic ride. Features: 4 Wheel ABS Traction Stability Control Passenger Restraint Driver Air Bag Passenger Air Bag Side Air Bag Heated Seats Leather Interior Alarm System Bucket Seats Power Windows Tinted Windows Vehicle located in Las Vegas, NV |

X1, 3 Series power BMW back into global luxury autos sales lead
Thu, 14 Mar 2013BMW managed to eke ahead of Audi for the global luxury sales crown in February. According to Bloomberg, BMW saw deliveries swell by 7 percent in February, besting the 3.2 percent jump enjoyed by Audi and giving BMW a 407-unit delivery lead over its rival last month. Mercedes-Benz, meanwhile, continued to falter, with the brand selling some 37,229 fewer machines than BMW, whose factories are running at full capacity to keep up with demand. Models like the X1 (shown above) enjoyed a sales increase of 40 percent in February while the company's bread-and-butter 3 Series jumped by 26 percent.
Mercedes-Benz hopes to stem its continued market share loss with the addition of the entry-level CLA sedan to its portfolio in April. The company is set to roll out an updated version of its cash-cow E-Class at the same time, and a new-generation S-Class will follow along shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, the company is increasing production to meet demand for its A and B-Class models.
2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale
Fri, 10 May 2013There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.
New details emerge on forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC
Sat, 02 Feb 2013Last we heard, the Mercedes-Benz SLC had been put on indefinite hold, but now Car Magazine is reporting that the Porsche 911-fighting "Baby SLS" coupe could be on sale by 2015. Riding on a modified SLS AMG chassis, the smaller and lighter SLC could be priced in the sub-$100,000 price bracket.
We'd already heard that the new car would feature conventional doors (instead of SLS-like gullwing doors), but this report focuses on some of the possible powertrains Mercedes-Benz is likely to use. At launch, the SLC could offer a pair of V8-powered models - a 485-horsepower SLC and a 585-hp SLC S - both being powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. About a year after launch, a new V6 model could emerge giving the SLC an estimated 333 horsepower and its lowest price point.
It also sounds like the car's name hasn't been completely finalized as some people within Mercedes are favoring a return of the SLR name.
