Absolutely beautiful! This is a fantastic opportunity to own a truly remarkable machine. If you haven't experienced the S65 from the driver's seat, it's difficult to describe. Certainly this is a 4-door sedan built on the platform of the flagship S-class, following the line along other S-Class models, and carrying an "S" in it's name, but this car stands alone in every category. One drive and you see why. As soon as you turn the key and hear the instant snarl from the twin-turbocharged V12, you realize the heart of this luxury sedan is 604 horsepower under the hood, and a pavement pounding 738 lb/ft of torque! The other "luxury sedans" disappear quickly, both in your mind AND in the rearview mirror. Simply put, this is a supercar, previously to the tune of $176k, that makes tremendous thrust at wide open throttle and creates confusion in the mind of the guy driving the Corvette when he can't keep up. Simply put, this is one of the most powerful factory 4-doors ever built.
The Toy Barn of Dublin is thrilled to offer this fantastic S65, finished in Flint Grey over Charcoal Exclusive nappa leather interior. This is a beautiful, fully maintained example, and you'd never guess the miles by looking at it or driving it. Condition wise, this AMG powerhouse is excellent, the Flint Grey still shines very well and has considerable curb appeal. The wheels show very well, though have a little curbing on a couple of them, BUT the tires are brand new and were just installed here at our Performance Center. Inside, the leather interior is excellent as well, and there is little if any wear present. Again, you'd never guess the miles from the inside.
Points to consider: This is no ordinary Mercedes. This S65 is no less than exotic, on par with a Maybach, and priced like a Honda. Considering the miles, the condition is excellent. It's been meticulously maintained, and we have a full file of records and receipts documenting the service history and upkeep. Mercedes-Petronas AMG W04 launched to little fanfare, lots of pressure [w/video]

No indoor cocktail hour for the launch of the W04, the newest chassis built by the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team. Instead, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton spent a morning in photo and video sessions at the track in Jerez, Spain then paused a moment to introduce the car. The team will want the W04 to demonstrate the World Championship credentials of the team personnel and one of the team drivers, instead of the mostly humble performances we've seen over the past three years.
The W04 has been fitted with a new five-element front wing, pushrod front and pull-rod rear suspension, a second-generation Coanda exhaust and an "aggressively packaged" rear end. A small vanity panel, à la Infiniti Red Bull's RB9, covers the stepped nose.
Team principal Ross Brawn has called it "a clear step forward in design and detail sophistication," but as much as we truly respect Brawn's abilities and achievements, we heard him say similar things about the updated W03 last year before almost every race weekend from about mid-season. We really hope he's right this time, and so does the team's newest driver, Lewis Hamilton. We'll do our best to ignore the parallels of the Mercedes F1 team having signed a sponsorship deal with Blackberry, another company trying to find its way back to the top and still struggling, and just point you to the video below of the W04 in action.

Firing of M-B boss upheld

Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.

2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA priced from $31,300*

Mercedes-Benz has kindly let loose the price of the 2015 GLA-Class, telling Autoblog.com that the base 208-horsepower GLA250 in two-wheel drive will go for $31,300 *not including a destination charge of $925. That makes for $32,225 in total to get one off the lot, a price predicted as early as last year and in our recent First Drive. The other two available models can push power to all four wheels, and after the destination fee is applied the GLA240 4Matic (pictured) will be $34,225 while the 355-horsepower GLA45 AMG will change lives and wallets to the tune of $49,225.
On the base scale, that puts the GLA250 just a few hundred dollar bills above the more powerful, rear-wheel drive BMW X1 and a stack of hundreds below the less powerful, front-wheel drive Audi Q3. If you're keeping in-house score, the GLA250 comes in at $1,400 above its sedan platform-mate with the same engine, the CLA250. At the high end, however, the competition doesn't have anything that can touch the AMG trim. Not that it should matter all that much - Mercedes needed something to keep these buyers in the family, and now they have it. If any of them should need even more power and more money spent, then there's always that 394-hp Brabus flavor. We'll have more info and details on each trim when Mercedes unleashes the shebang in the not-too-distant future.
