Detailed description below. I am an owner-operated business and the cars that I seek out and enjoy selling are these well-priced, slightly aged, Mercedes, BMW, and Porsches. I don't exaggerate the condition of my cars like most dealers do. I try to give an honest description and mention things that most people won't, so please don't think that this car is not as nice as others on the market. It is QUITE NICE! This car was sourced by me from the previous owner, not an auction. I liked the car so much that I did keep it for a few months prior to listing it for sale, but now, fortunately for you this car is now available to the public. I have put this car in the shop and done a full synthetic oil change. The undercarriage is clean and rust free. The car did come from North Carolina and it shows. The history report does indicate the occurrence of an accident, however, it appears to have been a fender bender of some sort because I do not see any visable frame damage on the car nor do I see any panels that look to be replaced. The car starts, runs and shifts A+++ This is one of the nicest driving S-Classes of this period that I have driven in the last few years. No check engine light, SRS lights, or mechanical warning lights are on! The Airmatic Air Suspension is functioning AS IT SHOULD! All of the windows, seats, steering wheel, sunroof, radio, and A/C controls are functioning properly. All of the soft close doors work!!! The exterior of the car has a very nice appearance and looks like a much newer car than it is. It does have a few dents that are pointed out in the photos. They all appear that they can be easily corrected by a paint-less dent removal specialist which is a lot cheaper than repainting. The paint shines like new and was just professionally detailed. The rear tires are in excellent shape, the front are about 35%. Wheels do not have any major curb rash. Interior is as CLOSE TO NEW AS YOU CAN GET FOR AN 03! Still has the factory leather smell (it really does) and no foul smoke or food odors. The seats are in great shape, no rips or cracks. The wood is in excellent shape and the carpets are free of any stains or rips. Headliner is immaculate. If you wanted to be extremely picky, one minor blemish on the leather part of the steering wheel is the only imperfection that I can find on the interior. This car glides down the highway the way it did when it left the factory in 2003, smooth, no vibrations or jitters, no funny noises or squeaks. PRICING If you look on ebay, these cars are priced in the $12-$14k range. I have set the reserve at a low $8600. Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S 4Matic [w/video]
Wed, 20 Feb 2013Maybe you saw our recent blog snippet on a bunch of US journos getting pulled over in the middle of nowhere in Catalunya, Spain for driving a bunch of new 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG models. By all accounts, they weren't speeding - which makes me softly guffaw. I was there in that group, yet I had taken the more direct route into the mountains from Barcelona so that I could... well, so that I could go faster. No one hassled me and I had the Autovia all to myself. And it was the goodniks - the team players - who got nabbed because Spain had decided to suddenly enforce the never enforced "must carry an international driver's license" clause of the highway code.
The departing E63 AMG with 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque from its M157 5.5-liter biturbo V8 hasn't exactly been poorly received. It isn't as crisp as, nor as pleasantly evil as its C63 AMG kid brother, but we generally accept that the heavier and larger car will always feel, well, heavier and larger.
As part of the 2014 E-Class mid-cycle redesign, Affalterbach decided to give its E63 AMG more power and torque for the occasion. The base car now gives off 550 hp and 531 lb-ft, while the hotter S version I tested (formerly the AMG Performance Pack) produces 577 hp and 590 lb-ft. The other big novelty is that E63 sedans will be available with both rear- and all-wheel drive, while all US-spec E63 wagons will be 4Matic equipped.
Maybach lost upwards of $500k on each vehicle sold
Wed, 08 Feb 2012Daimler is shuttering Maybach in 2013 after seven years of production. In that time, the company's ultra-ultra-luxury arm managed to sell just 3,000 units, and CAR reports Daimler lost somewhere around $500,000 on each and every one of them.
Even with a ludicrous price tag of over $370,000 for an "entry" Maybach 57, the brand couldn't quite recoup the dizzying $1.33 billion Daimler poured into it since its (re)inception. Rumors ignited over a possible tie up with Aston Martin that would have resulted in a range of new and attractive models, but Daimler has instead decided to snuff out Maybach altogether.
We can hardly blame them.
