Hey,

I am the 2nd owner of this car and mainly used it to go to and from work, it has no accidents, runs really well and looks great. I have the original headlights to this vehicle but put in aftermarket ones and painted the rims, as well as the emblem, grill and bumper guards to a black chrome color. The tires were changed recently and are at 80% tread. The mileage on the car is 97 thousand. It's color is Black Opal but it looks like midnight blue, original paint and the interior is gray. The limiters are unlocked, the ECU is chipped and the MAF sensor is upgraded from an S55, it is tuned for performance but can be driven in luxury mode on the W setting, which is good for snow as the Michelin tires I have on have no problem driving in S when it rains. The front seats are ventilated and have the massage feature, I changed the command center of the car to an updated 2003 aftermarket version that looks like the original but it has touchscreen with a remote and it also works with the steering wheel controls and can play music or youtube using bluetooth via your phone but have the original command as well. It also seconds as a DVD player where you can watch a movie and use navigation at the same time and you can also load up movies on a micro SD and insert it into the Command Center. The air matic suspension works and raises as well as lowers the car with the push of a button I always adjust my height using the computer so I will set it higher for you before I sell it as you will mess up the fenders if you don't know how this thing drives, the brakes have also been changed and I have a spare in the arm rest for the rear. I bought it with a non working moon roof and never got around to seeing whether it's the motor or rack that's misaligned but I don't smoke so it never bothered me and I left it as is. The steering wheel was upgraded to wood and leather from all leather and the rear lights are from an 03 and tinted. Very well kept car, I change my oil every 3 months and have a Master Mechanic for Mercedes service and maintain the vehicle. Any questions just shoot me an e-mail. Price is pretty firm but can be negotiated as this car drives as well as my 08 S550, it just has less speeds. If you want to make an offer then shoot me an e-mail and this listing is for a pickup only, I prefer not to ship this vehicle to a different state.

On Oct-14-13 at 04:50:37 PDT, seller added the following information:

Upon driving it yesterday I noticed that the subwoofer seems to not work or not be connected properly with the amplifier from when I had the Command installed but the music still sounds good, just lacks deep trunk bass. Should be an easy fix though and a groaning sound when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left so you may have to replace the rack and pinion in some time. It doesn't have any issues with steering or holding the road when I drove it and is only heard when parking and getting out of parking.

Maybach officially discontinues all models for 2013

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

The word "Maybach" has joined the long list of synonyms for the word "kaput." Mercedes-Benz released the price list for the 2013 models of its super-luxury sedans, with the price column simply stating "Discontinued" for each one of them.
The 2012 models, should there be any left for 11th-hour buyers, maintain the increased MSRPs that Daimler slapped on them late last year after it was known the brand would be terminated next year. But you might still be able to wrangle that $100,000 rebate if you ask nicely, or in Russian, or have Rick Ross ask for you.
It shouldn't be too long before we see the ultimate version of the next generation S-Class, the S600 Pullman, that will replace Maybach. Intriguingly, it's said the Pullman will be offered with every S-Class engine, even the four-cylinder diesel.

13-year-old boy swipes dad's Mercedes, drives across Europe

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

After an argument with his adoptive parents that resulted in them taking away his mobile phone, an angry 13-year-old boy ran away from his home in Italy and headed straight to Poland to meet his biological sister. But instead of taking the train or hitching a ride, like most on the run, the young man (an accomplished go-kart racer and car enthusiast) grabbed the keys to his father's Mercedes-Benz and jumped behind the wheel for an impromptu road trip.
With less than 200 euros (about $270) in his wallet and a passport in his pocket, the youngster managed to put more than 500 miles between himself and his distraught parents, crossing two international borders in the process, before German police nabbed him just shy of the Polish border. According to reports, the vehicle was tracked - it wasn't his driving that alerted authorities to his location.
Reunited with his mother and father, who traveled to Germany to retrieve both their son and the vehicle, the young man apologized and acknowledged his error. As a result of his actions, social workers will increase checks on the family and we can be sure his parents are now hiding the keys.

New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe spied in revealing state of dress

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

During a product briefing earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz told us that 2013 would be the "year of the S-Class." Makes sense, too, since the flagship Mercedes is so very close to finally showing its production-ready face. But the high-tech saloon isn't the only S-Class to talk about this year - quite the contrary. Seen here in decidedly revealing camouflage, the new S-Class Coupe will be joining its four-door compadre in the not-too-distant future, as well.
When it launches, the S-Class Coupe will officially do away with the CL-Class nomenclature. This doesn't come as a huge shock. After all, when the new E-Class coupe and convertible were launched, it officially marked the end of the long-running CLK-Class designation.
Thanks to the interesting camouflage seen here, we have a very good glimpse at how the S-Class Coupe will look when all of the molding and swirly paper are peeled off. Rakish body lines pulled from the CLS-Class meet a much more dynamic front fascia. Out back, there are horizontal taillamps rather than the vertical units used on the current car, and the whole package seems very svelte. Our spy photographer even posits that this will be "the best-looking car from Mercedes-Benz in ages."
