2001 Mercedes Benz Ml55 Amg Not Ml500, X5, Ml320 No Reserve!! on 2040-cars
North Miami Beach, Florida, United States
Vehicle is in excellent condition. I have owned the car for 5 years. It was originally a FL car, I had it in MI for 5 years and it is now back in FL. During its time in MI I kept it as clean and free of road salt as possible. There is no rust on the vehicle. I planned to keep it for a long time and I recently did a lot of maintenance work to it. I then found a great deal on an ML63 and bought that, now this one needs to go. In the last year it received new tires, new rear struts and springs (Mercedes OEM), new front shocks, new front tie rod ends and ball joints, new auxiliary coolant pump, new all weather Mercedes floor mats. It has drilled rotors front and rear and brand new rear pads. Motor mounts were done a little over a year ago. I have always run Mobil 1 5w30 changed every 5-7k depending on the kind of driving I was doing. Everything works on the car, Navigation, power folding mirrors, sunroof, A/C, heated seats, etc, etc. There are a couple minor nicks and scratches but no dents at all. The front bumper cover has a small crack, these bumpers are brittle in the cold, someone backed into it in the sub zero MI winter and cracked it. The only other accident it was involved in was a similar situation with the rear bumper cover which was replaced with a genuine AMG Mercedes part 2 years ago. Interior is very clean. I will add more pics. No rips or excessive wear of any kind. The car just drove from MI to FL and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. My eBay location says MI but the car is currently in Miami Beach. No cracks in the windshield. Motor runs flawlessly, I have never had even a check engine light come on since I have owned it. Feel free to call me for more details. Steve: 313-269-6090. I only had a few pics saved, I will add more or can email any specific shots you need. Clean MI title in my name.

Russia gives its Olympic medalists new Mercedes
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Russian medalists at the recently concluded Sochi Winter Olympics are being rewarded quite handsomely for their service to the Motherland. In addition to the $120,000 being handed out for each gold medal, the $76,000 being awarded for slivers and $52,000 given to bronze winners, now word has come out that each of Russia's medalists will be gifted a new Mercedes-Benz.
As with the prize amounts, the type of Mercedes offered was based on what sort of medal was won. Gold medalists got a new GL-Class, silver medalists were given an ML and bronze medalists were treated to a GLK. As prices for Mercedes are higher in Russia, the cheapest model, the GLK, was the equivalent of $59,500, according to The Moscow Times. The cars were handed out by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, pictured above with figure skating medalist Julia Lipnitskaia.
"I was a bit shocked at the car I was given," Anton Shipulin, a member of the gold-medal biathlon relay team, told RIA-Novosti. "Of course I knew what kind of model it would be, but I didn't totally believe it." For athletes not old enough to drive, like 15-year-old Lipnitskaia, their Mercedes will come complete with a driver.
Mercedes teams with Pebble for smartwatch tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Most automakers have realized by now that a good infotainment system is a must-have feature for many buyers, and have, as a result, invested increasing amounts of time and money developing these technologies. But some automakers are going above and beyond in-car entertainment and navigation technology by focusing on wearable technology as well.
Nissan has emerged as one such company, developing its own alternative to Google Glass and performance-oriented smartwatch. But Mercedes-Benz is also putting itself at the forefront of wearable tech - not by developing competing products to those designed by dedicated tech companies, but by working with them. The German automaker, as we recently reported, is developing its own app for Google Glass, and is now doing the same with smartwatches as well.
Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Mercedes has collaborated with Pebble Technologies to develop the Digital DriveStyle app. The system will display tell its wearer where the car is, whether the doors are locked and if it needs fuel. Inside the car it'll alert the driver to potential hazards coming up on the road, while making functions like re-routing the nav system, controlling the audio system or activating Siri that much easier.
Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
