The exterior is painted in a beautiful two tone white and the interior is fitted in dark blue MB Tex vinyl. The car is loaded with most of the amenities that were available on these models in that year, including the optional third row seat. There is an electric sunroof and electrically adjustable seats with memory. The car starts right up, drives like a new car and it exhibits no gremlins or operational problems of any kind. It drives amazingly well with no rattles, wind noise or other distractions. The exterior and interior of this car is very straight and super clean. As the CarFax shows, the low mileage is legitimate and there are no accidents or other issues in the history. This is a currently registered and driven vehicle that passed the rigid safety and emissions inspection in the state of New York. There is an abundance of additional general information about these Mercedes Benzes on the internet if you are looking for more technical data or performance details. We didn't want to bog you down with useless information, considering that most of the people looking at this car will know much more about it than we do. The few nits that we were able to pick is a very short list indeed. There are a few VERY minor blemishes in the original finish (no dents or rust) and there are rash touches on a couple of the original wheels. The motors for the headlight wipers are disconnected. Everything else works as designed including the electric antenna, clock, left and right remote mirrors as well as the original Mercedes Benz sound system. The matching B.F. Goodrich tires are very good and have lots of life remaining. The interior looks great and it is amazingly clean and comfortable. This car was always garaged and recent work includes a transmission overhaul, fuel injection wiring harness replacement, new battery, ignition coils (3), brake service, new muffler, fuel filter and an oil & filter change. The climate control works perfectly and the car blows super cold air. EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi

It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.

XCAR marks 20-year anniversary of Senna's passing with Mercedes 190E Cosworth
Thu, 01 May 2014While the automotive world is focusing on the twentieth anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death, there was much, much more to the legendary driver than his untimely passing at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
XCAR has the story of a younger Senna, who, by a stroke of luck, found himself matched up against a veritable dream team of nine Formula One champions, not to mention a cadre of German touring car aces. A "probably still pissed (drunk)" James Hunt, hard-driving Niki Lauda and future champion and rival Alain Prost, were in attendance for the one-off, spec race, which was put on by Mercedes-Benz, in honor of the opening of the Nürburgring's Grand Prix circuit. And Senna was on hand with the explicit goal of besting them all.
Each driver was handed a lightly modified, but brand-new 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth, a car that can best be though of as the distant ancestor of the lovable C63 AMG. As for the race itself, well, it was sort of like an introduction of what the sport could come to expect from the Brazilian.
Aston or Bust? Maybach's fate to be decided next month

What will become of Maybach? That question has been rattling around the halls of Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart for some time now. But all questions will be answered, and answered soon: according to reports, the German automaker is currently evaluating prototypes and propositions for its top-end marque, and will make its decision next month.
So, what are the options? On the one hand, Daimler could kill the Maybach brand altogether. It was a notion ill conceived and even more poorly executed, taking an old platform and building a new flagship atop it. In that way, it was sort of like the Chrysler Crossfire, only far more costly to both the buyer and manufacturer. On the other hand, Daimler could opt for the long-time-coming proposition of contracting the production (and possibly much of the development) of a new generation of Maybachs to Aston Martin.
