The only mechanical issue is a very minor rattle of the exhaust when cold; mechanic anticipates that the car would need a catalytic converter but there are no engine lights or codes and car passed NJ inspection."

2002 Mercedes Benz E320 for sale.   It has been well maintained, all services are up to date and have been completed on schedule.    It is in excellent condition, has low mileage and has been well cared for.  The car is extremely comfortable and very responsive.

The exterior of the car is in excellent condition.  The paint holds a very deep shine with no sign of fade.  There is no rust.  All chrome, glass, and trim are also in very good condition.  The headlights are clear and not fogged.  There are only some extremely minor signs of wear.  There are no scratches or dings on the car.  I would compare it's condition to that of a very well kept 3 year old car.

The interior of the car is in excellent condition.  The seats are very comfortable and supportive.  The leather holds it's deep color and original finish.  There are no cracks or wear marks.  The wood also holds deep color and is in very good condition.  All interior systems are working properly.  The heat is hot and the A/C is cold.  The carpets are also in excellent shape and free from any noticeable dirt or staining.  The car rarely had any passengers.  It has never been smoked in.  I would rate the interior and exterior both at 9.0 out of 10.

Mechanically, the car operates perfectly.  All service is up to date.    In addition to the service it received a radiator, battery and brakes. There are no warning lights illuminated on the dash (abs, check engine, etc.).   I told the mechanic that the car has a very slight exhaust rattle only when the engine is cold but that it stops as soon as the car is warm.  Based on my description, he explained that he thinks it would need a catalytic converter in the future.  The car passed the NJ inspection which includes a rigorous pollution test. Other than that, the car works like new.  The car has three keys, one of which is newly replaced ($250; I thought I lost one so I bought a new one and then found the old one).

This car has been very well cared for which has left it in excellent condition.  It looks and drives like a car less than half its age.  The mileage is very low and this car will certainly provide many more years of great service.  If you have any questions or would like to see the car, please let me know.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class interior caught in spy shots

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

With the redesigned 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class getting closer to production, the camera-wielding crew over at Autospies somehow managed to get inside of the car to snap some detailed spy shots. As the prototypes continue to shed camouflage, it would appear that Mercedes-Benz is getting closer to unveiling the car, and with the Geneva and New York auto shows coming up, it could be sooner rather than later.
From what we can see of this car's interior, the overall look of the S-Class' cabin isn't a ground-breaking departure from the current car, but it has been completely redesigned with more advanced technology. The styling is now even more upscale with larger swaths of wood, more shapely door panels (without the built-in armrest cubbies) and the concept-like two-spoke steering wheel. The highlight of this car though is probably the two massive digital screens with one being used for driver information and the other used for navigation, audio and infotainment systems. One other detail we noticed about this car is that it was equipped with the new 360-degree camera that debuted on the new GL-Class and will also be used on the 2014 E-Class. We also know that the next-gen S-Class will be getting the new cloud-based MBrace2 infotainment system.
As for the exterior design, it looks like the next S-Class will carry a similar profile as the current car, but we can see through the camouflage that the new styling will fit in better with current Mercedes-Benz products. Up front, the grille is much larger is flanked by aggressive LED-trimmed headlights, while the rear view of the car shows us the LED brake light now at the top of the rear window, a more pointed trunk opening and a more squared-off rear fascia with exhaust outlets pushed to the corners.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

The biggest misconception about the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is that it's simply a higher-performing version of the SLS GT - a closer look, or better yet, a few hot laps on a high-speed racing circuit, reveals that is anything but the case.
Launched in the States in mid-2011, the standard SLS GT is a 583-horsepower, all-aluminum, gull-wing coupe with performance that positions it near the top of the exotic segment. While the AMG team at Mercedes-Benz could have left it alone, their experience with the SLS AMG GT3 race car said there was room for improvement, so they devised the SLS Black Series. The transformation from SLS GT to SLS Black Series is extensive, with no fewer than 17 different significant enhancements.
The engine mapping, crankshaft, connecting rods, valve-train, intake, exhaust and cooling are all modified and the engine's redline bumps up from 7,200 to 8,000 rpm, which pushes output of the hand-built 6.3-liter V8 to 622 horsepower. The power steering receives a new ratio, a coil-over AMG Adaptive Performance suspension is installed along with underbody braces, the track is widened, two-piece carbon-ceramic brakes replace iron rotors at each corner and a lightweight titanium exhaust is fitted beneath. The AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is modified and an electronically controlled AMG rear differential lock ensures the power goes to the pavement. Last on the mechanical upgrades are new lightweight forged wheels (10x19 inches front and 12x20 inches rear) wrapped in special R-compound Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Porsche teams with Delta airlines to woo VIP passengers

Sun, 15 Sep 2013

The next time you're waiting for a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, see if you can spot a Porsche Cayenne or Panamera zipping between aircraft on the busy tarmac. The high-performance German vehicles aren't there practicing for an upcoming autocross; they are tasked with whisking some of the airline's most important customers between flights so they can keep their busy schedules intact.
Launched nearly two years ago, the program has proven popular with the automaker, airline and passengers as all benefit from the unique arrangement. Atlanta-based Porsche is able to showcase its cars to Delta's frequent-flying Medallion members, the airline is recognized for providing unusual perks to its high-value customers and those fortunate enough to be surprised with a quick lift are able to make connections without a stressful run through the terminal. Based on its success, the airline is rolling our similar programs in New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis this month.
And don't think Porsche is the only automaker working with an airline to entice its frequent flyers. Mercedes-Benz ran a program over the summer that offered purchasing and leasing incentives to MileagePlus Premier members of United Airlines, and the two are currently shuttling top fliers around Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the automaker's S-Class and GL-Class models.
