We are licensed and bonded in the State of Virginia. (Rebuilding insurance cars started as hobby and as the owner of Autobahn Auto I do this myself simply because I love doing it. I did service and repairs for many years starting in the mid 80's in Germany. After graduating from Automotive trade school I moved to the United States where I opened Autobahn Auto.)

We are located in Hampton, Virginia, downtown just in walking distance from the Greyhound bus station. If you have less than 5 eBay feedback points I'd like you to contact me prior before bidding. Also PLEASE read our feedback. We have NEVER received a negative feedback point from any of transactions and buyers say our cars are better then I described them. The wagon also comes with a FREE copy of my bestselling novel "Torn From Normal." If you like to know more about me visit MartinBartloff.com

I will assist worldwide sale as I have sold several vehicles overseas via eBay, but the winning bidder must arrange his own transport. Happy bidding!!

Since the VA state inspection was due next May, I took the wagon for a new Virginia State Inspection. There were no flaws.

Somebody send me a message asking if it was a rust bucket and to take close up photos. I just about fell out of shoes. First off we're in Virginia and cars generally don't rust here. Secondly, The W210 body style Mercedes is not known to rust even the once we've seen from up North!!!

No, this is not a rust bucket nor is there any catch to my no reserve auction. I already had a local person via eBay coming by to test drive it. I believe he is currently the high bidder. He was absolutely impressed by the Wagon after the test drive. There are no faulty warning lights on, there is no oil pouring, and it is certainly no rust bucket. The winning bidder will be 100% pleased with the car. Please people, study my feedback, many of my car sales feedback even say "Car better than described." How many eBay car dealers can say that about themselves? I am German, I don't lie or add any sugar and honey to my eBay listings.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)

Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...

Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack. Adding to the appeal is the Imperator's stumpy, periscopic rear mirror, sticking out of the roof. Even after being out of production for 20 years, this is still a wild, wild car and we'd happily snap up the opportunity pilot one of the 36 Isderas that were built. Take a look below for the full video from Spa.
