The interior is in excellent condition with NO RIPS OR TEARS and there are absolutely NO DINGS OR DENTS on the exterior of this car. I've owned several Mercedes (9) over the past 15 years and I know how to take care of them with proper and scheduled maintenance requirements. This vehicle has had its 100K maintenance in the past 6 months and there are NO ISSUES at all!!!! This vehicle has always been maintained with scheduled maintenance, Oil Changes, Tire Rotations etc...Its always been taken care of as the condition of this vehicle shows. This is probably one of the HARDEST TO FIND CL's on the market being that it is Black on Black with the AMG 55 look!!! The 5.0 liter engine has way more than enough power to get you up and out of the way of any traffic conditions but with Cheaper Insurance Costs than the AMG's with the bigger 5.5 liter engines. GET THE $100K LOOK at an affordable price while its still listed. This car gets the attention everywhere it goes, The paint is like looking into a mirror and has 85% rubber left on all four Michelin Tires. It starts with a push of a button on the top of the gear lever as long as the keys are in your pocket. It has every option you can think of including heated seats, electric rear sun visor, memory seats, auto stop on the seats when you have a rear passenger! IT HAS EVERYTHING & EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY!! ORIGINAL RETAIL PRICE WAS OVER $100K BRAND NEW and this CL500 is the last year of this RARE BODY STYLE. This is a really a Mans car! I am only selling it because I have 3 other vehicles (Mercedes SL 500 , Range Rover HSE & Harley Davidson) and don"t have room for it anymore as this vehicle is normally parked in my underground parking at my office but I've been told that I can no longer garage it here anymore :( and wife says one of them has to go so I choose keeping my Harley at this time since summer is right around the corner!! Mercedes teams with Pebble for smartwatch tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Most automakers have realized by now that a good infotainment system is a must-have feature for many buyers, and have, as a result, invested increasing amounts of time and money developing these technologies. But some automakers are going above and beyond in-car entertainment and navigation technology by focusing on wearable technology as well.
Nissan has emerged as one such company, developing its own alternative to Google Glass and performance-oriented smartwatch. But Mercedes-Benz is also putting itself at the forefront of wearable tech - not by developing competing products to those designed by dedicated tech companies, but by working with them. The German automaker, as we recently reported, is developing its own app for Google Glass, and is now doing the same with smartwatches as well.
Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Mercedes has collaborated with Pebble Technologies to develop the Digital DriveStyle app. The system will display tell its wearer where the car is, whether the doors are locked and if it needs fuel. Inside the car it'll alert the driver to potential hazards coming up on the road, while making functions like re-routing the nav system, controlling the audio system or activating Siri that much easier.

We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.
XCAR marks 20-year anniversary of Senna's passing with Mercedes 190E Cosworth
Thu, 01 May 2014While the automotive world is focusing on the twentieth anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death, there was much, much more to the legendary driver than his untimely passing at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
XCAR has the story of a younger Senna, who, by a stroke of luck, found himself matched up against a veritable dream team of nine Formula One champions, not to mention a cadre of German touring car aces. A "probably still pissed (drunk)" James Hunt, hard-driving Niki Lauda and future champion and rival Alain Prost, were in attendance for the one-off, spec race, which was put on by Mercedes-Benz, in honor of the opening of the Nürburgring's Grand Prix circuit. And Senna was on hand with the explicit goal of besting them all.
Each driver was handed a lightly modified, but brand-new 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth, a car that can best be though of as the distant ancestor of the lovable C63 AMG. As for the race itself, well, it was sort of like an introduction of what the sport could come to expect from the Brazilian.
