2005 Mercedes Cl65 Amg *immaculate Condition* – Upgraded, Keyless Go, Must See!! on 2040-cars
Boca Raton, Florida, United States
For sale is my IMMACULATE 2005 Mercedes Benz CL65 AMG, with just over 65,600 miles. This car really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I have meticulously maintained this vehicle mechanically and physically, inside and out. This car has all the options, including Keyless Go and front/rear parking sensors, which are great options that a lot of these cars don’t have. Since this is my second car, I only use it about once a week, so it is always garage kept and is never left in the sun. I paid for this car in full when I purchased it, so there are no liens and I have the Title in hand, which will make for an easier transaction. Due to the nature of my business, I need to get an SUV and sell the CL65. Below is a list of work that has been recently done to the car:
All the parts, service and labor listed above total over $11,000. Receipts and service records can be provided upon request. As you can see in the picture, the car comes with all the original books and manuals. As far as performance modifications, the 3 mods I have done to the car are lowering links (which improves the whole look of the car), drop-in K&N air filters and a custom mandrel-bent exhaust downpipe professionally installed right behind the turbos, which enables the turbos to breath much better and spool faster. The downpipe also makes the car sound really good, much better than stock in my opinion. The only areas on the interior of the vehicle that show any kind of normal wear are the left side of the driver’s seat cushion and the arm rest on the driver’s side door (seen in pictures). In my opinion, both areas are much less worn than the average amount of wear of a vehicle with similar or even less mileage. The rest of the interior is almost flawless and looks practically un-used. The front windshield doesn’t have any kind of chips or scratches at all, not even one imperfection. If anyone has any questions or would like any additional information about the car, please don’t hesitate to message me or call me at 561-843-4104. To arrange a local showing of the car, please try to let me know one day in advance. Thanks, Brandon. |

Carlsson SLK 340 Judd is winged up for hill climb glory
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Carlsson has been expertly tuning Mercedes-Benz products for more than 20 years now, but we can't say as we remember the outfit turning out anything quite so racy as this SLK 340 Judd that it has brought along to the Geneva Motor Show this year.
This SLK is meant for competition, obviously, and Carlsson has already booked the car to race in several hill climb events in the E1 category. The purpose-built racer should have a fighting chance to do well in said races, with a shape vetted in wind tunnel testing for maximum downforce, the SLK uses a carbon-fiber bodyshell to help achieve a curb weight of just about 1,720 pounds.
The featherweight SLK's name comes from its 3.4-liter V8 engine, which churns out a wicked 610 horsepower to go with its 317 pound-feet of torque. A Hewland transmission with paddle shift operation manages all of the thrust.
Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.
Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.
