As you all know we had a hurricane here in New York and over 250000 cars were totaled. 90% were basically destroyed. The remaining 10% were cars that were cars with very minor water damage and ins companies had no choice but to total them. This is one of those cars.. Even though it was obvious that the water level was low in this car i still had the car flushed cleaned and replaced anything that needed before starting it. I Paid a professional make sure everything is cleaned and replaced if needed, so the buyer will never have any future problems.. Has No messages what so ever & NO check engine light... I will guarantee to the buyer that this car will start right up with No engine problems at all.. I bin driving the car home a few times & had NO issues. It might have a few hundred more miles. The body is straight clean with all original paint.. the drivers rear door has a slight dent, rear quarter panel has a ding as well as lower door,1 small on rear trunk. You can not see these in the pics but i took them anyway. I want to be fully honest on every detail on this car So you know exactly what your getting. Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.

New details emerge on forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC

Last we heard, the Mercedes-Benz SLC had been put on indefinite hold, but now Car Magazine is reporting that the Porsche 911-fighting "Baby SLS" coupe could be on sale by 2015. Riding on a modified SLS AMG chassis, the smaller and lighter SLC could be priced in the sub-$100,000 price bracket.
We'd already heard that the new car would feature conventional doors (instead of SLS-like gullwing doors), but this report focuses on some of the possible powertrains Mercedes-Benz is likely to use. At launch, the SLC could offer a pair of V8-powered models - a 485-horsepower SLC and a 585-hp SLC S - both being powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. About a year after launch, a new V6 model could emerge giving the SLC an estimated 333 horsepower and its lowest price point.
It also sounds like the car's name hasn't been completely finalized as some people within Mercedes are favoring a return of the SLR name.

The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
