We traded this car in from one of out longtime customers...We have tried to trade for it for awhile but he wasn't ready to part with it until he saw my 1985 Euro 380sl.... He as owned the car in Charleston for quite awhile and the vehicle has been maintained by German Auto here in Chas..

Overall the car is in excellent shape...The paint is in excellent shape...As far as I can tell the hood and roof have been resprayed...Everything else is original...The vehicle has very very few nicks or chips..It does have less than average front end road rash..This vehicle has been very well cared for...

The interior is pretty much like new inside with very little signs of aging, The dash, front seats, back seats, door panels and all interior wood are near perfect..

All carpet is in great condition including the trunk carpet also...In the trunk is the factory spare tire with all tools...

The car cranks every time as it should without any form of smoke or sputtering..It's always very smooth..The transmission shifts very well whether the car is cold or warm...

The A/C is very cold and the heat works as it should..

All windows and interior options work as they should..The windows in the front and the rear work without any issues..

The tires are in average shape with plenty of wear on them..The wheels were resprayed about two weeks ago when we traded the car in...They weren't bad but they needed a good refresh...

The steering box which sometimes has extra play overtime doesn't seem to have that problem...it is very crisp and not floaty...

I would consider this car a 8.5 out of 10 and I am pretty particular how what I sell..Very seldom do I put a car on Ebay because most of business is referrals but I thought it would do well here...

The odometer works as it should and the trip reads correctly as well...Sometimes these cars tend to strip a gear or two in back of the cluster, And the odometer will stop working or only show every other mile...

The autocheck report doesn't show any accidents or issues...Carfax says there was an odometer discrepancy some years back but we tend to think it was a typo...The mileage is off by a few thousand miles...The mileage is correct on the title and it is clear...

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions...I love to talk about cars...Chris ...1 843 568 0547

The Mansory Speranza proves that money can buy taste and good sense...

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

...Just kidding.
No one in their right mind has ever accused German tuners Mansory of being subtle. So, when our Geneva team wandered across the Mansory Speranza - A Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen that has been denuded of its roof and spackled inside with quilted leather and red carbon fiber - they didn't ask a lot of existential questions. Why does the Speranza exist? Because Germans are weird sometimes, that's why.
Forget for a moment that you'll have to pay Mansory hundreds of thousands of euros (we're guessing, no pricing information has been revealed) for the privilege of converting your G-Class into something that looks like a Suzuki Samurai, and prepare to be impressed by the details. The tuning house has increased the output of the Mercedes V8 to a healthy 700 horsepower and 668 pound-feet of torque. The wheels are 24-inches, and wear almost unbelievable 305-section ultra-high performance Vresdestein tires. Carbon fiber can be found nearly everywhere one looks, including making up the housing for the spare tire. Oh, and there are leather pillows for the backseats... no word on whether they're standard or optional, but we're looking in to it.

Porsche teams with Delta airlines to woo VIP passengers

Sun, 15 Sep 2013

The next time you're waiting for a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, see if you can spot a Porsche Cayenne or Panamera zipping between aircraft on the busy tarmac. The high-performance German vehicles aren't there practicing for an upcoming autocross; they are tasked with whisking some of the airline's most important customers between flights so they can keep their busy schedules intact.
Launched nearly two years ago, the program has proven popular with the automaker, airline and passengers as all benefit from the unique arrangement. Atlanta-based Porsche is able to showcase its cars to Delta's frequent-flying Medallion members, the airline is recognized for providing unusual perks to its high-value customers and those fortunate enough to be surprised with a quick lift are able to make connections without a stressful run through the terminal. Based on its success, the airline is rolling our similar programs in New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis this month.
And don't think Porsche is the only automaker working with an airline to entice its frequent flyers. Mercedes-Benz ran a program over the summer that offered purchasing and leasing incentives to MileagePlus Premier members of United Airlines, and the two are currently shuttling top fliers around Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the automaker's S-Class and GL-Class models.

Russia gives its Olympic medalists new Mercedes

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Russian medalists at the recently concluded Sochi Winter Olympics are being rewarded quite handsomely for their service to the Motherland. In addition to the $120,000 being handed out for each gold medal, the $76,000 being awarded for slivers and $52,000 given to bronze winners, now word has come out that each of Russia's medalists will be gifted a new Mercedes-Benz.
As with the prize amounts, the type of Mercedes offered was based on what sort of medal was won. Gold medalists got a new GL-Class, silver medalists were given an ML and bronze medalists were treated to a GLK. As prices for Mercedes are higher in Russia, the cheapest model, the GLK, was the equivalent of $59,500, according to The Moscow Times. The cars were handed out by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, pictured above with figure skating medalist Julia Lipnitskaia.
"I was a bit shocked at the car I was given," Anton Shipulin, a member of the gold-medal biathlon relay team, told RIA-Novosti. "Of course I knew what kind of model it would be, but I didn't totally believe it." For athletes not old enough to drive, like 15-year-old Lipnitskaia, their Mercedes will come complete with a driver.
