Very Clean 2nd Owner 79 300d 157000 mi. Couple very small dents and surface scratches. Brand New Tires. Has all features working except Pwr antenna. Needs nothing for daily driver. Interior good shape no rips,tears or cracks. Rear seat back could use new padding but is very usable. Automated Heating control unit under hood is bypassed. Heat and AC work great. Just nitpicking everything so you have good understanding of cars shape. IF I had to compare it on a number system I would have to give the exterior a 9/10 and the interior about the same. All original ! Even has the sign still attached to the inside trunk lid, and have the original touch up paint canister (unopened) that came with it. Has been converted to run on WVO, and ran very well on it here in beautiful Mesa AZ. Has plug in heater unit and heat ex-changer that work great in our milder climate. Brake's, Rotors, Valve adjustments, New Glow Plugs all maintenance has been done and have receipts. 2nd Owner car that was bought from a 85 year old lady that brought it over on the boat in 1979, on a Mercedes-Benz sponsored trip. The car had been in Northern California, till I bought it and moved it to Phoenix Az. It has never seen snow,salt or even bad roads. Very Well Maintained by Mechanic. Wife retired bought new vehicle. A great car, we have loved for 8 yrs. Time to sell need room in garage!

Mercedes-Benz killing Maybach in 2013, replacing with S600 Pullman
Fri, 25 Nov 2011According to an unnamed Mercedes-Benz source speaking with AutoWeek, the German automaker is killing off its Maybach line in 2013.
The unsurprising news comes after the brand was resurrected in 2002, but failed to meet sales expectations with its two core models, the Maybach 57 and 62. Further solidifying its fate, a deal with Aston Martin to aid in the development of future Maybachs fell through earlier this year.
According to the AutoWeek insider, the plan is to continue to sell both Maybach models through the end of 2013, after which the fifth-generation S-Class will go on sale. When that happens, three new variants of the S-Class will be available, including an all-new, range-topping S600 that brings back the Pullman moniker and may be better suited to competing with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
Boston bombers were tracked using Mercedes mbrace [w/video]
Sun, 28 Apr 2013We now know Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the two brothers said to be behind the Boston Marathon bombings, planned to head for New York City to detonate more improvised explosive devices. As it turns out, that plan was foiled by the quick thinking of one Mercedes-Benz owner, diligent police work and the Mercedes-Benz mbrace system. When the brothers carjacked a 26-year-old Chinese entrepreneur identified only as "Danny," they didn't realize his Mercedes-Benz M-Class was equipped with the mbrace system, which can call for help in the event of an accident or track the vehicle in the event of a theft.
According to reports, the Tsarnaev brothers held Danny hostage for nearly 90 minutes while they drove around Boston forming a plan until they had to stop for fuel. When one of the brothers went inside to pay, the other put his gun down for a moment. Danny took the opportunity to unlatch his seat belt, open the door and run to another nearby gas station, where he told the owner to call the police.
When police arrived, they used the mbrace system to track the SUV after receiving Danny's permission, and it wasn't long before a shootout between police and the brothers ensued. 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup shows its freshened face
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Mercedes-Benz showed us its redesigned 2014 E-Class more than a month ago, but the Detroit Auto Show finally gave us a chance to see the full family of mid-size luxury cars and wagons in the flesh. Dieter Zetsche introduced the cars, including sedan, coupe, convertible and station wagon, on stage showing the stylish new design direction.
