This is a absolutely immaculate example of a classic Mercedes. This is a one owner car, originally from California. the car was purchased by my father 7 years ago, never registered, and has been sitting in the garage. he ocassionally starts it, and drives it around the neighborhood. i believe it has less than 500 miles on it in the past 7 years. This car has 69,1xx miles, and everything works as it should. Interior is 10 out of ten. Engine runs flawless, and transmission shifts perfectly. You will not get another chance to own a classic Mercedes in this condition, with this low of mileage. The car was just serviced with a oil change, new front brakes, and new windshield wipers, and was recently detailed. There are a few small dings, very very small which could easily be removed by a painless dent removal person, and there are only two blemishes in the paint, one of which is on the hood, and the other on the passenger a-pillar. This car has never had any sort of paint work, and is all original.Clean carfax, 1 owner, Tires tread wise are in EXELLENT condition, they are a little dry from the vehicle not being driven too often, but still appear to be road worthy. power antenna still works, the front end is still tight, no noises, and the car even still has all of the origional plastic covers under the engine and transmission, this car has been garaged kept its whole life, and it shows. 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA priced from $31,300*
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Mercedes-Benz has kindly let loose the price of the 2015 GLA-Class, telling Autoblog.com that the base 208-horsepower GLA250 in two-wheel drive will go for $31,300 *not including a destination charge of $925. That makes for $32,225 in total to get one off the lot, a price predicted as early as last year and in our recent First Drive. The other two available models can push power to all four wheels, and after the destination fee is applied the GLA240 4Matic (pictured) will be $34,225 while the 355-horsepower GLA45 AMG will change lives and wallets to the tune of $49,225.
On the base scale, that puts the GLA250 just a few hundred dollar bills above the more powerful, rear-wheel drive BMW X1 and a stack of hundreds below the less powerful, front-wheel drive Audi Q3. If you're keeping in-house score, the GLA250 comes in at $1,400 above its sedan platform-mate with the same engine, the CLA250. At the high end, however, the competition doesn't have anything that can touch the AMG trim. Not that it should matter all that much - Mercedes needed something to keep these buyers in the family, and now they have it. If any of them should need even more power and more money spent, then there's always that 394-hp Brabus flavor. Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes FWD platform to last until 2018, convertible and two-seater future uncertain
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz seems to be expecting a lot of success from its front-wheel-drive CLA-Class. Automotive News is reporting that the sub-C-Class sedan could grow when its second generation arrives in 2018.
The current FWD platform for MB underpins the CLA, the B-Class, the GLA-Class, and the A-Class. The B-Class will arrive in North America as an EV for spring of 2014, while the production GLA crossover will arrive three to four months after that. The five-door A-Class won't be crossing The Pond. Sad faces all around.
According to AN, another model will be based on the front-drive architecture, but it won't be coming to the US market. Set to arrive next year, rumors are that it'll be a wagon version of the CLA, sort of like the ill-named five-door CLS Shooting Brake that is also a Europe-only item.
