I bought this car to convert to a veggie car but have run out of time and cant finish the project. Just sold the conversion kit so the car has to go. no reserve! It runs and drives fine, some rust on the exterior and under the driver's seat has rusted and been repaired. There is a vacuum leak that i have chased and haven't found that makes it not shut off with the key and sometimes causes it to hesitate shifting, but mechanically the tranny is fine, just the vacuum pressure is too low to call for it to upshift. It has a brand new battery, and several other minor things replaced. There is an extra 25 Gallon fuel tank installed in the trunk for the veggie conversion but is used for regular fuel now, not veggie. gets great mileage and really is a good car for the $$$. Tires are very good, starts up no problems, doesn't smoke and is a strong engine. alignment is fine, ready to go as a daily driver or to convert. Thanks for looking.

Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...
Fri, 15 Mar 2013If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.
"Maybe there will be a change in the market when the Porsche [Macan] comes up," Moers said, "but right now, no."
The real hitch in the giddy-up seems to be cost. Moers says developing the machine into something worthy of an AMG would represent "a huge investment." We can't exactly argue with that. Fortunately, AMG buyers have plenty of Mercedes-Benz models to choose from.

Mon, 25 Mar 2013So you didn't really think Dartz Motorz was going to let the limited-production, 544-horsepower Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG go without a challenge, did you? Picking up the gauntlet as only Dartz can, the Russian dream-makers have come up with the Sahara G-eopard, supposedly a special request from a buyer to make one of the 'standard' six-wheelers "more opulent and insane."
That means the vehicle from the factory gets extended by about a foot (30 centimeters), coach doors in the rear, a "yacht floor" and air conditioning that runs on its own power source, Asanti 24-inch Gold Bullion wheels and a water dispenser with Russian diamonds, which the owner will need to fill the golden shishas (hookahs) in the portable smoking room. That's right, you heard the man: a portable smoking room. Where the occupants will retire when they're finished in the portable dining room. Of course.
