2007 Mazda Mx-5 Miata Convertible, Black Over Red, One-owner, Never Seen Winter on 2040-cars

Year:2007 Mileage:45000
Location:

Oxford, Connecticut, United States

Oxford, Connecticut, United States

This one-owner, smoke-free vehicle has less than 45,000 miles and is in excellent condition.  I bought it new in June 2007 for my wife and we have had it ever since.  This car was mostly driven just for fun and has been winterized and stored covered and indoors from each December through the following April. In fact, it has rarely seen rain as we usually drive it just on sunny days.

I included a photo of the original window sticker so you can see all the features.

The oil was changed religiously every 3,000 miles.  All four tires were replaced this year with Toyo Proxes4 205/45ZR17 rubber. Everything works as it should.  The battery is about two years old.  All manuals, keys, etc. are included.   It has never been in an accident and has been lovingly hand waxed a few times each year.

In terms of payment, a $500 non-refundable deposit is due via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close.  The balance is due in cash when the vehicle is collected. You can arrange for shipping if you like, but I will not ship and require payment in cash before a shipper takes possession.  If you are local (the vehicle is located in Oxford, Connecticut) and want to see the vehicle before bidding, that can be arranged.  Just send me a message via eBay.

I rounded up a little on the mileage (see photo) and may continue to drive the vehicle as weather permits, so the mileage may increase slightly.

If you're looking for a reliable, fun vehicle at a reasonable price - THIS IS IT.  Given how little we drive it, I decided to sell it rather than pay to store it for another winter.

2014 Mazda6 earns Popular Mechanics' 'Car of the Year'

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

Ring one up for Mazda. The Japanese brand's midsize offering, the Mazda6, has been named Popular Mechanics' Car of the Year. The 6 received a comprehensive reworking for the 2014 model year that saw it adopt sleek, sexy sheet metal; a clean, logical interior; and powertrain technologies that allow it to net some of the best fuel economy available in a gas-powered, non-hybrid sedan.
Popular Mechanics praised the 6's Skyactiv 2.5-liter, 184-horsepower engine, as well as its agility and responsiveness during testing. It also remarked on the functional, but well designed cabin, and the degree of available technology.
"The Mazda6 really impressed us with how well it delivers so many things modern car owners want: great mileage, fun road-handling, upscale features and looks - and remarkable value," said Jim Meigs, Editor-in-Chief of Popular Mechanics.

Mazda3 to showcase CNG, Hybrid versions in Tokyo

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Mazda has made huge gains in its competitive set with the introduction of its Skyactiv technologies, and the Japanese automaker appears to have no plans on slowing down. While we're still waiting for the Mazda6 Skyactiv-D diesel to go on sale in the US, Mazda announced that it will debut new Skyactiv-Hybrid and Skyactiv-CNG versions of the Mazda3 (standard US-spec model shown above) at next month's Tokyo Motor Show.
Matching up with what we heard earlier in the summer, the Mazda3 Skyactiv-Hybrid is intended for Japan only, but there are no details about this system regarding fuel economy, electric components or specs. Likewise, there are no details for the Mazda3 Skyactiv-CNG Concept, which is a bi-fuel version of the car running on both gasoline and compressed natural gas. As this car's name suggests, the CNG model is a concept vehicle, and there is no indication that Mazda plans offering such a model here in the US.
In addition to these two vehicles, Mazda will also have an Atenza (Mazda6) on display showing off some vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) safety systems, called the ASV-5 (Advanced Safety Vehicle). Scroll down for Mazda's official press release.

Tow truck driver hilariously bad at righting a flipped Mazda

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

Can rolling your car get any worse? The correct answer is yes, as this poor soul found out when he rolled his Mazda3 onto its side. Calling a tow truck might be a logical, post-rollover move, but in this case, it kind of made the situation worse.
We don't want to give away just what happened, so you'll need to scroll down and watch the video. A fair warning, though, it does contain a moment of colorful language towards the end, so watching it at work, with the volume up, might not be wise. Have a look below for the full video.
