See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Main defect of this car, is the clear coat peeling off in numerous places as can be seen in pictures. Mechanically sound as Toyota could be."

This little Toyota is in excellent mechanical condition. It is made for town zipping or suburbs cruising with top down. Heat and AC works flawlessly, it will keep you cold in the summer and hot in the winter. It handles like a true sports car, and with the total weight around 2400 Lbs gas mileage I am getting is never less then 29MPG's. Car has a SMG transmission which means there is no clutch but you will still have to shift gears up, but not down, there is 6 of them plus reverse. Car came from Hawaii where it recieved plenty of sun damage which is why clear coat is peeling. It was also in the front end accident at about 5-10 miles per hour, everything that was bent broken or damaged in any way was replaced, there is no sign of any problems as I am driving it right now. Since the car don't actually have a rigid frame, it is made more like a bunch of sheet metal riveted together, all the repairs took care of the issues cars with frame would have. I also have the picture of the car after the accident if anyone would be interested. Main selling point of this car is that it has little over 53K miles, handles like a dream and use minimal gas, and convertibles are always fun. I am selling below blue book value because car has two issues described above.

Autocar compares new Maserati Quattroporte to Jaguar XJ

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe took the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte on a spin along snowy mountain roads to test it for a specific brief: as a limousine for the chauffeured class. It's sporting credentials are impressive: Twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, 532 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque in casual circumstances that rises to 532 lb-ft in overboost, a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour sprint of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.
However, citing Maserati's desire to not just increase its sales to 50,000-per-annum by 2015, but to sell many more of its cars in China, Sutcliffe wanted to find out if the livery side of the Quattroporte could match its sport sedan side. So after taking the pilot's seat and trying out the sport settings, Sutcliffe hops in back to test out the CEO's seat.
Then he compares the Quattroporte against the long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ with its supercharged V8, a sedan that's 15,000 pounds less expensive than the Maserati. It doesn't take long for him to find that one of them is a clear winner when it comes to transporting VIPs. To find out which one, enjoy the video below.

Maserati calling in new Quattroporte for electrical issue

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

Exotic automobiles are just that: exotic. As in, rare. While Maserati is trying is darnedest to emerge from the fringes, its products are still less common than competitors from Germany, Japan or even the UK. Which is probably - more so than any superior quality or safety standards - why we rarely see the Trident marque's products the subject of a recall. Although it does happen upon occasion.
Back in the spring, Maserati had to call in over seven thousand examples of the Quattroporte, GranTurismo and Alfa 8C over rust issues. Now that the new Quattroporte is upon us, the Modenese automaker has apparently run into another small problem.
This time the issue revolves around the wiring harness for the alternator/starter motor, an improper crimp in which could cause the battery cable to short and start a fire. As a result, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is prompting 63 owners of the 2014 Quattroporte GTS V8 to bring their cars in to their local Maserati dealer to have the wiring harness replaced.

Leno profiles Pebble Beach-winning 1956 Maserati

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

We enjoy it when Jay Leno and his web show, Jay Leno's Garage, take a look at new, modern cars. When the comedian gets his paws on a proper classic, though, he's at his best. Leno is able to display an impressive breadth of knowledge about even obscure models, and that's no different here, as the winner of its class at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a 1956 Maserati A6G-2000 Allemano rolls into the garage.
Part of the Maserati A6 family, this A6G is one of just 21 cars produced with coachwork by Carrozzeria Allemano, making it one of the rarer cars to grace Jay Leno's Garage. It's powered by a 2.0-liter inline-six, and, as Leno points out, is far more of a road car than the race-oriented Maseratis of the day.
Scroll down for the latest episode from Jay Leno's Garage on this fully restored 1956 Maserati.
