For sale by original owner. Purchased from Lotus of Atlanta (January 2005). All recommended dealer service intervals met at either Lotus of Atlanta or Park Avenue Lotus (New Jersey). Vehicle is in excellent condition. Garage parked, never in an accident, never used as a track car. Original vehicle was Metallic Racing Green with "Biscuit" (Tan) leather interior. In 2008, I had Park Avenue Lotus replace "Biscuit" interior with Red leather (seats and door panels) - and professionally paint the dual yellow racing stripes. This entailed the removal of Starshield, painting the stripes, clear coating the whole car, and the reapplication of Starshield. A laser was used to align precisely the racing stripes. The car has General G-Max AS-03 tires with about 5,000 miles of regular road use. Yes, the Yokahama tires are much better - but they lose all their tread after 5,000 miles. These General tires have plenty of tread left.
Vehicle has Sport Pack, Touring Pack, Sport Exhaust, Starshield, and Hard Top options. Ipod connector cable is installed. Vehicle has radar detector included (Escort Passport x50) with wire in dash. Custom car cover for Lotus Elise is included.
Note: The Soft Top is also included - the padding came out - but the top works fine for keeping water out of the car when it rains.

Race Recap: 2013 Indian Grand Prix mostly calm with chances of Championships
Mon, 28 Oct 2013The smog around the Buddh International Circuit got so bad over the weekend that the FIA had to change the practice sessions. Then the soft tires that Pirelli brought to be the options were found to degrade so quickly that teams had to change their qualifying and race strategies. The only man it didn't seem to affect was - guess who? - Sebastian Vettel, who put his Infiniti Red Bull Racing on pole position.
Behind him came Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Mark Webber in the second Infiniti Red Bull and on medium tires, Felipe Massa in the first Ferrari, Kimi Räikkönen in the first Lotus, Nico Hülkenberg in the first Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the second Ferrari, and the McLaren duo of Sergio Perez and Jenson Button. The tire strategizing didn't work out for Romain Grosjean in the second Lotus, who didn't get out of Q1 after only running the medium compound tire and lined up 17th.
The Indian Grand Prix has been held twice and Vettel has led every single lap of both races. If nothing else, we knew there would be at least one new thing about this Indian Grand Prix: there'd be a lap not led by Vettel since he qualified on softs and would have to pit before Webber and Alonso who were both on mediums.
Lotus Evora S IPS automatic transmission option arrives in October [w/video]
Sat, 28 Jul 2012The Lotus Evora S IPS that the company showed drifting all around its test track earlier this year will be available in October, says Car and Driver. The kinder, gentler Lotus is fitted with the six-speed Intelligent Precision Shift transmission, an Aisin unit swiped from the Toyota Camry and retuned with Lotus electronics and actuators.
There are two 'regular' modes and two 'sport' modes on the IPS gearbox. The former include a traditional hands-off automatic and an auto mode with shifts handled by wheel-mounted paddles. The latter are a sport automatic setting that sharpens the car's responses and a manual sport mode for total driver control. The Evora S IPS hits showrooms in October. Lotus F1 confirms Grosjean, Maldonado for 2015
Wed, 19 Nov 2014With the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix now just ten days away, the focus is beginning to shift to next year's Formula One World Championship, with more and more pieces to the puzzle falling into place. And the latest news comes from the Lotus team. The Enstone-based outfit has confirmed that it's keeping both its drivers right where they are for next season, with Romain Grosjean partnering Pastor Maldonado once again.
Swiss driver Grosjean, now 28 years old, made his grand prix debut with the team in 2009, returned as test driver in 2011 while winning the GP2 title, returned to the F1 grid in 2012 and has been driving for the team ever since. He's scored nine podium finishes to date, but has finished no better than his eighth place this season.
Venezuelan pilot Maldonado, 29, won the GP2 the year before his teammate, and moved up to F1 with Williams, for whom he drove for three seasons before switching to Lotus for this one. He shocked the field when he won the Spanish Grand Prix in 2012, but has only finished in the points once this season.
