You are viewing my personal 1999 Lincoln Town Car Executive Krystal 85" Limousine.  I'd like to start off by saying you could not buy a 98-02 Limousine and restore it to the level of quality I have for the money i'm asking.  This is a steal and if you are not satisfied with the quailty of the car you don't have to buy it.  But I do guarantee you will be satisfied when you see and ride in it.  Please do your inspections prior to entering an offer or hitting the "buy it now".  I attached a very detailed youtube video of the vehicle that is over 12 minutes long.  Please click the link above and take the time to watch it.

This limo spent most of it's life used by a private limo service in Long Island NY.  The car was serviced by Country Lincoln Mercury for the majority of it's life.  Oil has always been changed at intervals with Synthetic oil.  The engine does not burn or leak a drop of oil.  The transmission lines were replaced a few months ago and fluid flushed.  This is a ***1 OWNER*** Krystal 85" limo and has been completely redone.  Carfax may show this is a 2 owner vehicle because it was recently reissued a new title but it was only owned by 1 person prior to myself.  I have not registered it since purchasing because I use a dealer plate when we use it.  If you run a carfax you'll also notice all of the service records since new.  That was one of the major reasons I purchased this limo.  The interior (headliner, carpet, upholstery and seats) were redone a little over 2 years ago($2300).  The roof was redone in 2009 but is very nice with no rips or tears($1200).  In the last month I had the exterior body redone along with the window tint removed and retinted professionally with 3M film($1000).  The paint job looks better than the day it left Krystal.  Not 1 dent, scratch or flaw on the exterior body and factory urethane basecoat clearcoat was used to refinish (not cheap maaco garbage paint).  Since I had the limousine repainted it has been stored in a heated garage and we have not even taken it out in the rain.  It's been washed once and gets wiped down with a spray detailer.   The overall expense to complete minor body repairs and refinish the vehicle was over $5000.  This past week brand new OEM wheels and new white wall tires were installed ($1240).  The exterior side lighting has been changed to LED.  If you look at the tail lights you'll notice they look a little darker.  That's because I had them lightly tinted.  I also have all of the exterior emblems for the trunk and fenders but have decided not to reinstall them.  I like the clean look without them.  The exhaust from the converters back has been replaced and is in great shape.  No warning lights on and will pass emissions.  The rear air suspension has been converted over to springs($550 with labor) so that it will never fail.

****I want to note that a few of the small bulbs under the cup holders need to be replaced.  The center console between the driver and passenger seat has seen better days but does work.  The fiber optics lighting in the rear that is supposed to illuminate and change colors along the ceiling is not working.  The blower motor and unit turn on as they should but I am pretty sure the unit internally is not working properly because the lighting does not turn on.

All of the other lighting including exterior lamps, sunroof, glass and solid divider, rear radio, heat, a/c and switches work perfectly

This limo is ready to work or can be used for private use as I have.  You do not need to do anything to it but register it.  As you can tell by the extensive list of upgrades and updates above I have some cash tied up and did not short cut rebuilding this car in anyway.  I may consider a trade for a 99+ 120" stretch, luxury or sports cars.

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.

Lincoln to resurrect old nameplates for China?

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

Judging by the success that many luxury automakers are currently experiencing in China, it's no surprise that Lincoln plans to take advantage of the situation by peddling its wares across the Pacific. Lincoln will open its first Chinese dealership next year, but potential buyers there won't be mucking through the same alphabet soup of car names found in American showrooms. USA Today reports that Ford's luxury car division could revert back to legacy names (like Continental and Zephyr) in China while keeping the MK_ names here in North America.
In speaking to Ford exec Jim Farley during the LA Auto Show, USA Today says that Lincoln could switch its naming structure as models are refreshed. Farley didn't confirm that the naming revamp would be a China-only decision, but article leaves little hope that American buyers will get to see the return of classic names anytime soon.
Why would Ford rehash old Lincoln names for China only? Buyers there seem to have a better historical associations with the nameplates than in the US. Chinese also still hold Lincoln in high regard, associating the marque with use by prominent government officials.

Lincoln Navigator facelift only has to last until 2016 replacement

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

The Navigator is not only Lincoln's longest-serving nameplate - dating back to 1998 when the final Town Car was introduced - but it's also the oldest model still in the brand's portfolio. The current Navigator arrived on the market in 2007, and underwent a refresh just a few months ago for the 2015 model year. The updates were subtle, but if you're waiting for an all-new model, it's just a couple of years down the road.
According to Automotive News, Lincoln is already working on an all-new replacement for the current, long-serving Navigator, which will be revealed two years from now in the middle of 2016 as a 2017 model. At that point, we're expecting it could switch (alongside the Expedition) to the new aluminum architecture introduced on the Ford F-150, seeing as how the current model is based on the old F-150.
In the meantime, the refreshed Navigator ditches the big 5.4-liter Triton V8 in favor of a more economical 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and wages war in two wheelbase lengths against the V8-powered competition in the form of the Cadillac Escalade (and Escalade ESV), the Land Cruiser-based Lexus LX and the Infiniti QX80, which is based on the overseas Nissan Patrol.
