1999 Lincoln Town Car 72" Stretch "6 Pack" Limousine, 2 Owner Vehicle since new, Krystal Coach of California conversion with glass and solid partitions and intercom.
Only 63k original miles, I used this car as my rolling client transport for my music production company. Only driven by my personal chauffeur and myself for the past 11 years.
New Michelin tires, Oil changed regularly, major items serviced by Wayne Lincoln of New Jersey, new battery, windshield wiper motor, new rear air suspension hydraulic pump and air bags, front end tight, original motor, trans and drive train run flawlessly.
All electricals and lights work fine. No gremlins to have to hunt down and repair.
Shifts smooth, full power, quiet and reliable, she drives like a magic carpet on the highway with surprisingly good mileage. Drives straight and true, no crabbing from side to side. Since I used the vehicle for my business purposes, it is equipped with a great sound system. Dual roof mounted folding LCD video monitors, Iger Vision EVP DVD5 DVD player, Sony CDX 606 10 magazine CD player, Sony XR-C7220 AM-FM Stereo Head Unit with Cassette player, trunk mounted Alpine MRV-F345 4 channel V12 power amplifier and high performance speakers. This system rocks! I also added front driving lights in the bumper so i could identify my car amongst all the others when out on the town.
Interior is super clean. Body exterior is recently repainted and flawless with no dents, dings and is extremely presentable to do whatever you need it for. This vehicle has not been abused in any way.
The only issues with the exterior are some small front and rear parking blemishes on the bumpers and the vinyl roof is showing some weathering and some cracking. You will decide if it is something you can live with as the rest of the car is excellent. The pictures should explain its condition for you both in and out.
These cars are known for their durability if you take good care of them, and this one has had a pampered life. It has many many more miles of service left in her. Since the body style is essentially unchanged to their last year of
production, you don't need to worry about the car looking dated. She is just as impressive as all the other ones that are on the road. Only this one is alot less expensive to own. My name is John and I can be reached at 973.632.6728 with questions .

NHTSA upgrades Ford floor mat unintended acceleration probe
Mon, 17 Dec 2012According to a Bloomberg report, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has upgraded an investigation into complaints of unintended acceleration lodged against Ford vehicles. The investigation began in June of 2010 when just three complaints had been received and it only concerned the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, but this was at a time when the phrase "unintended acceleration" made grown men go pale. With 49 additional complaints received since then, the investigation has been reclassified as an engineering analysis - the last phase before a recall - and it has been expanded to include the Lincoln MKZ, making for a total of "around 480,000" units affected between the three sedans from the 2008 to 2010 model years.
The ostensible cause is that floor mats are trapping the accelerator pedal, but according to a Ford statement at the time, the entrapment is due to owners placing the optional all-weather floor mats, or aftermarket floor mats, on top of the car's standard floor mats. NHTSA has backed up that assessment, pinning the blame on "unsecured or double stacked floor mats."
On the face of it, it would appear that NHTSA has upgraded the status not because of Ford's error, but owner error, and Ford has stated publicly that it is "disappointed" in NHTSA's move. On top of NHTSA still being skittish after that other unintended acceleration debacle, it could be seen to be taking its time investigating all of the variables: it's reported that Ford changed its accelerator pedal design in 2010, a "heel blocker" in the floorpan has been considered a potential culprit in how the floor mats could be trapping the pedal, some drivers have said the floor mats weren't anywhere near the pedal, and according to a report in the LA Times, in "a letter sent by Ford to NHTSA in August 2010, the automaker said it found three injuries and one fatality that 'may have resulted from the alleged defect.'"
Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
Lincoln releases power and economy ratings for 2015 MKC with 2.3L EcoBoost
Thu, 05 Jun 2014As the first 2015 MKC crossovers slip into dealerships, Lincoln has confirmed power and fuel economy ratings for the compact crossover's optional 2.3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder engine.
The new range-topping powerplant, thus far otherwise unavailable in the Blue Oval kingdom, will net a healthy 285 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 305 pound-feet of torque from 2,750 revs. Those figures represent gains of 10 hp and 5 lb-ft over earlier estimates, putting the handsome new compact CUV in the hunt with up-engined rivals from Audi and BMW. (A variant of the 2.3L will shortly find its way into the engine bay of the 2015 Ford Mustang, albeit with a number of key changes, including north-south orientation.)
In the MKC, the new engine will net 18 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on the highway with standard all-wheel drive, meaning it only loses a single mile per gallon in the city cycle versus the 240-hp, 270-lb-ft 2.0L EcoBoost model when fitted with all-wheel drive. Both engines rely on the same six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
