1997 Lincoln Continental Spinnaker Edition Sedan 4-door 4.6l - No Reserve!!! on 2040-cars
Davidsonville, Maryland, United States
Welcome to my 1997 Lincoln Continental. This vehicle was the top-of-the-line Lincoln of its time and only has 136k miles. The engine runs like a top. No stories here. Oil has just been changed. The transmission runs and shifts flawlessly. All power options – radio, moonroof, locks, windows, etc. - function properly. Seats are powered and heated. On-board computer also functions properly as well. The paint is in good condition. There are minimal dents, dings, or scratches. There are 2 spots where the paint has faded due to sun - the hood and roof (pictured - I can have this fixed for an additional $200 if the buyer would like it done.) The interior is in excellent condition (read: like new) with no signs of wear on the seats or carpet. The rims and tires are like new - purchased in November. Brakes are in great condition as well. Runs and drives like new.
Issues to address: Outside of the spots on the paint, there is nothing else to report. The car is in excellent running and driving condition. Plenty of luxury and reliability with years of service to be had. This vehicle is being
offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles. If you are new to Ebay or if you have fewer
than 4 transactions, please contact me prior to bidding for approval to bid or
I will cancel your bid immediately.
There is a $125 documentation fee in addition to the final selling
price. A $500 non-refundable deposit is
required via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close. Transaction must be
completed within 7 days of auction end (full payment and pick-up arrangements
at least). I have done my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as
possible. Once purchased, this car can
be driven anywhere in the country without issue. For those of you who are not
local, BWI is the closest airport to my location. Contact me via email with any questions.
Please bid with confidence and good luck. |

Weekly Recap: New bosses try to jump-start Cadillac and Lincoln
Sat, 26 Jul 2014
Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.
Lincoln MKC crossover headed for Detroit
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Fresh off the launch of the stylish new MKZ sedan, the newly named Lincoln Motor Company is reportedly preparing for a lineup expansion. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, the first new product joining the Lincoln brand is a small crossover based on the Ford Escape said to be called the MKC. We saw this machine testing a few months ago, and while we were hoping the name might be reserved for a future two-door model or even the diminutive Concept C hatchback, it looks like the "C" will stand for compact crossover instead.
The report also says that this crossover will be making its debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, so we'll have to wait until then to see what the new model looks like. Unlike the MKX, which is based off the Ford Edge, we would expect there to be a lot more differentiation between the MKC and the Escape like Ford managed to do with the newest Fusion and MKZ.
In addition to the new MKC, the article states new MKS and Navigator designs are expected to debut by 2014.
