2004 Land Rover Discovery Ii S Model With Dual Sunroofs Center Diff Lock on 2040-cars
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
This is a great Series II Discovery and 2004 was the last year they were made. It belonged to our Service Manager but he needed something with better fuel economy. 2004 is a great year because it has the Center Diff Lock, 4.6 liter V8, and the large roof rails. This is an S model that has Duragrain interior, which is an imitaion leather. It is perfect except the drivers seat has a couple cracks. The engine and trans work perfectly as does everything else. There is a check engine light on which is a secondary air pump. I checked and it is a $500 repair. The rear bumper cover has a crack on the left rear which I put in the pictures. I spoke with my Service Manager and he said the engine has been completely resealed, all diffs serviced, transmission serviced, transfer case serviced, and hoses are all new.

Jaguar Land Rover details JustDrive connectivity suite
Tue, 18 Nov 2014
JustDrive will allegedly deliver on the long-promised idea of natural communication between driver and car.
Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.
Is Jaguar's 3 Series-fighter the brand's last chance?
Wed, 16 Oct 2013The upcoming line of compact 3 Series-fighters from Jaguar, often referred to as the Jaguar XS, could consist of a sedan, wagon and possibly a coupe and GT model (think BMW 5 Series GT). The car's all-aluminum architecture also will provide the basis for two new sports utility vehicles. Just how important is the much-touted "baby Jag" project to parent company Jaguar Land Rover? A JLR executive reportedly says the brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS, codenamed X760, Autocar reports.
The brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS.
"If the X760 fails, it will probably be the end for the [Jaguar] brand," the executive says. But Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, claims Jaguar will "build the most advanced, most efficient, most refined car in that [compact luxury sedan] segment. Not almost as good as, but better than the best in the world."
These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
