This truly is a stunning vehicle. Finished in new Stornoway Grey with a brand new Black diamond leather Exmoor trim, this superb example has to be seen to fully appreciate the quality of the restoration. The vehicle was re-painted around 3 months ago so the bodywork is in excellent condition as you can see from the photos. Vehicle is Tagged, Titled in FL and ready to drive away today!!!
On our 300 mile test drive back from the Port to our Kissimmee showroom this vehicle really did make us smile. The V8 engine is probably one of the best we have ever come across, nice and pokey and keeps up with traffic well. We cruised home at around 70-75mph with ease. The five speed manual transmission is nice and tight, every gear working as it should.
We have worked through the vehicle with a full service, brand new re-spray and a stunning brand new leather interior. This vehicle is ready to go as your daily driver, or your weekend toy. A real head turner, be prepared to be surrounded at gas stations and especially the Home Depot (recent experience when buying a BBQ). Some key features include;
- Brand new diamond leather Exmoor trim with center console
- Brand new paint
- Rot free chassis and bulk head, all original
- Door bottoms superb condition
- New BFGoodrich tires with plenty of tread all round (Good spare too)
- Re-furbished alloys
- Rear sliding windows
- Upgraded steering wheel
- Fully serviced
- LPG tank fitted (use optional)
- Some UK service history
- Original handbooks
There are others who are trying to sell higher spec Defenders such as these, the difference between East Coast Defender and the rest is simple, our vehicles are actually here in the USA, not in parts in the UK. We have a showroom you can actually visit, rather than a cell number for a guy who will make you promises of delivery. Customs called this beauty 'the pretty one' at Port. You will not find any other classic vehicles like this for sale INSIDE the USA.
We are a surety and customs bonded company, working with Border Control, not against them. Nobody else is bringing you high quality vehicles into the USA as we do tagged and titled, we pay all import duties, fees, taxes etc, there is nothing for you to pay but the price you see above.
Don't be concerned our feedback is 0, if you Google 'Across The Pond USA eBay store' you will see our feedback of 470 and positive feedback from the last Defender sale, we have simply separated our misc goods shop from our Defenders. Also feel free to check out our East Coast Defender website for more testimonies from happy customers.
Contact us now....don't delay!
Our buy it now price can include delivery or a flight to our showroom to drive home, we will discuss this more with the buyer.

Was it right for Chevrolet to detune the 1975 Corvette's base engine to 165 horsepower? Was Aston Martin wrong to make the Toyota iQ-based Cygnet? Is BMW crazy to be testing the new 1 Series with three-cylinder engines and front-wheel drive? It seems now, just as in the 1970s and 1980s, that emissions regulations and social considerations are driving some automakers to adopt unbefitting practices to maintain acceptance in the eyes of governments and consumers. Jaguar has jumped on the bandwagon, and is considering development of small, frugal, front-wheel-drive cars to help lower Jaguar Land Rover's average vehicle CO2 levels in light of tightening European emissions regulations, Autocar reports.

By 2020, the European Union expects the model range of every manufacturer to average 95 grams per kilometer, which is a new law passed by the European Parliament in April. Manufacturers who make more than 300,000 vehicles per year must meet these targets, and JLR is expected to be producing up to 700,000 vehicles per year by then. CO2 regulations after 2020 will only get stricter, as EU politicians already are talking about lowering CO2 levels to between 68 g/km and 78 g/km. (To put that in perspective, Autocar posits that driving a fully charged electric vehicle in Europe produces about 75 g/km when factoring in the power-generation infrastructure.)
Jaguar has some choices here, but so far they all have drawbacks. It could develop a new, compact chassis architecture for a line of compact vehicles, but the investment required for such a project could be prohibitively expensive. Jaguar has been looking into using the Land Rover Evoque platform for a small SUV, Autocar reports, but Land Rover brand manager John Edwards raises issue with such a plan, saying it may not be financially feasible.
The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing markets for Land Rover, so it makes sense that the automaker is looking to set up shop in the region. According to Automotive News, Jaguar Land Rover is in talks with the people of Saudi Arabia to build a factory in the country at an expected initial cost of $1.2 billion. Still in the early stage of talks, the proposed facility could start up by 2017 using locally sourced materials such as steel and aluminum.

Such an arrangement could be beneficial for both entities as Saudi Arabia looks to diversify its oil-reliant economy and Land Rover could get local production capacity of around 50,000 units. The report also says that the agreement talks about the possibility for Jaguar models to be built at the same plant further down the road.
This won't be the first vehicle produced in Saudi Arabia - that honor goes to the KSU Gazal-1 - but it will be the first from a major global automaker.
Jaguar Land Rover officially announced its Ingenium family of engines with the unveiling of the 2.0-liter version in the Jaguar XE concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, but it kept details very thin at the time. All we knew was that the new turbocharged mills could be configured to use gasoline or diesel, and be positioned longitudinally or transversely. Months later, JLR is finally letting some more info slip about its new baby, but there are still some big questions to be answered.
For the Ingenium project, Jaguar Land Rover gave its engineers a clean sheet of paper and told them not to worry about using any previous parts or machinery. In the end, the designers came up with a family of turbocharged, aluminum-block engines based around modular, 500cc cylinders to allow it to grow or shrink as the market demanded. The layout was also made adaptable enough to incorporate hybrid drivetrains, if needed. "Being configurable and flexible are the two key strands of Ingenium's DNA because we have future-proofed our new engines from the outset," said said Ron Lee, the company's director of Powertrain Engineering.
To maximize efficiency, Jaguar promises that all versions of the Ingenium engines come with computer-controlled, variable oil pumps and water pumps to use only as much energy as needed. They also get direct injection, roller bearings for the cams and stop/start. The diesel version alone has 17 percent less internal friction than the mill it replaces, the company claims. JLR is also promising class-leading figures for Ingenium's torque and horsepower too, but it's not giving away those specs just yet.
