Selling my Land Rover Defender 110 2.5 TD (turbo diesel) Wagon. This is a European imported truck, from the Left Hand Driver market, very hard to find even overseas. I personally had it brought in from Hungary.
I have a clear South Carolina Title and Registration on hand, vehicle is completely legal and already here in the States. No need to fuss with shipping and Customs (which has gotten ever more stringent over the past year or so. I speak from experience!) Starts up every time drives quite smooth, and obviously is a lot of fun! Odometer reads 177,000 km which is about 110,000 miles. There is no body or chassis rot, however the typical Defender oxidization is on the body panels. No rot under the door plates, with the exception of the rear door. Truck is originally mint green, it has at some point been repainted here and there as over-spray is evident in a few spots on trim work. Interior is also all original, seats 10. All wipers, headlights, speedometer, heater and blower and clock work great. Fuel gauge is a bit funky, but gas light acts as a warning for low fuel. New fluids in transmission and diffs, new battery and recently rebuilt alternator and brakes. New fan and power steering belt and fresh oil change. Pin-hole exhaust leak on turbo down-pipe, seat belts don't retract (probably need to be replaced) and cigarette lighter does not work. Also missing side fender vent, one top fender vent is broken and missing front passenger side step. I love this truck, gets compliments and stares all the time! Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."

The car's all-aluminum architecture also will provide the basis for two new sports utility vehicles. Just how important is the much-touted "baby Jag" project to parent company Jaguar Land Rover? A JLR executive reportedly says the brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS, codenamed X760, Autocar reports.

But Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, claims Jaguar will "build the most advanced, most efficient, most refined car in that [compact luxury sedan] segment.
