Enthusiast owned from new, this car comes complete with all original books, manuals, tool kit, spare parts package and even the original shipping plastic seat covers. The very few miles this car has been driven have apparently been in excellent weather conditions as this car appears as-new on the underside and the perfect storage environment has kept all chassis and engine compartment components in flawless condition. There is absolutely no corrosion or even oxidation on the aluminum castings or any plating failure on fasteners or other mechanical components. Wheels are pristine and the tires show no evidence of any age deterioration but are in fact 23 years old and caution is to be taken if car is to be driven at any high speed. The interior is fantastic as you see in our pictures with no wear on leather surfaces and perfect carpet and trim. Absolutely no sun fade as car never really sat out for any extended period of time. All electrical components gauges switchgear, radio, etc all function properly. Power operated windows and hidden headlamps work as intended. Exterior appearance is virtually show quality with damage and deterioration free paint and zero damage history from new. We did change this car over to the much more attractive European factory front bumper assembly perfectly painted to match the original US spec crash bumper is included with the sale of this car. At the time of painting and installing bumper we did refinish the lower front chin spoiler to correct a few small chips and a slightly scraped lower edge. The work is impeccable and a perfect color match. The Lamborghini Countach is an iconic car from the eighties that gave the marque international recognition with its ultra radical styling and blistering performance. This is a late production anniversary edition built in July of 1989 as a US spec car and properly titled as a 1990, the final year and most desirable edition of the famed Countach. This car is in "Concourse" condition as it sits and needs absolutely nothing It runs and drives exactly as you would expect. If you are looking for the best possible Countach on the market today and a Red-Tan Anniversary model, this is the car. Dubai police welcome Lamborghini Aventador cop car
Thu, 11 Apr 2013There is a long history of law enforcement adding supercars to their police cruiser fleets. The latest comes from a likely place, Dubai, where one-upping the rest of the world in conspicuous consumption has become a national point of pride.
The Dubai police force announced yesterday that they've added a Lamborghini Aventador to their fleet, the Italian supercar capping a broader upgrade to their selection of cruisers that also reportedly includes new examples of the Chevy Camaro.
The 700-horsepower Aventador has a starting price in the US of nearly $400,000 and can reach speeds up to 217 miles per hour. Reports, however, say that the Dubai police force won't be using the car's 0-60 performance of 3.9 seconds to catch any crooks, but rather that the supercar will be used in tourist areas to impress foreign travelers.
Lambo considering Huracan GT3 for United SportsCar Championship
Mon, 01 Sep 2014With all the versions of the Gallardo that Lamborghini made over the course of that model's dozen year lifecycle, we knew the debut of the new Huracán would only be the start. And now we're getting an idea of what Sant'Agata has in store. Before too long, there'll be a new Spyder, and likely a rear-drive version as well. But racing teams are more eagerly anticipating the new competition versions. There's the new Super Trofeo spec racer that Lambo unveiled in Monterey a couple of weeks ago, but now we're receiving word of a new GT3 racer as well.
Based closely on the Super Trofeo, the Huracán GT3 is reportedly being designed to meet the regulations of numerous racing series - including, the latest reports will have us know, the United SportsCar Championship that competes in North America. This according to Sportscar365.com, which spoke to Lamborghini's chief test driver Giorgio Sanna at Virginia International Raceway recently.
Unlike some of its rivals, racing has not traditionally been a core value at Lamborghini, but it has competed here and there. It previously relied on Reiter Engineering to develop racing versions of the Murcielago and Gallardo, but is said to be doing the Huracán GT3 almost entirely in-house, with a modicum of input from Dallara, the racing chassis manufacturer founded by the man widely credited with developing the Miura and Espada in the 1960s.
Ciao Bella, Lamborghini's Aventador Roadster looks smoking hot in LA
Thu, 29 Nov 2012After having all of the official details dropped a few weeks ago, and judging the significance of the price tag just a bit later, we're finally getting our first look at Lamborghini's newest drool-inducer, the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. News flash: It's just as good-looking in person as it is in stock shots.
That's right, if our fresh gallery of images from the show floor are any indication, buyers with fat-enough bank accounts to put the 700-horsepower V12 Lambo in the garage will not be disappointed with it aesthetically. The sharply creased supercar bodywork looks, arguably, more impressive in topless form than it does as a coupe, which is really saying something.
You'll find all of the technical detail about the new car in the press release below, should you require fuel for your Italianate dreams.
