I'm the second owner of this sweet Jeep and it has always been parked in the garage. This Jeep has been well maintained and in exceptional condition for a "used" vehicle. I think you will be hard pressed to find a nicer ride out there. Carpet is in like-new condition as you can see as I place rag rugs underneath floor mats for added protection. Awesome AC...it rocks. It will cool you off very quickly on these hot, humid summer days. Jeep has two scratches.  One on the front passenger fender and one on the back passenger fender.   The scratches were already present and touched up on the Jeep when I made the purchase from the original owner.  There are the normal "wear and tear" scuff on the floor board door panels from driver and passenger getting in and out of the Jeep.  The Infinity subwoofer in the cargo area also has scuffs.  Stock spare tire has small gash.  Photos are included for all scratches, scuffs and tire gash.

Mileage is 32,413 as of July 14, 2013. (Stock tires have approximately 23,500 miles and the after-market tires have the balance of approximately 8,900 miles.) I've added the grill inserts, had the front windows tinted and a 1 inch leveling lift kit installed at Midwest Custom Trucks in Moberly, MO.

Jeep does NOT come with soft top.

ATTENTION: Jeep does NOT come with Summitomo 285x60x18 Tires and KMC XD 18x9 Wheels as pictured although they can be purchased for an additional cost of $1,000. ($1000 includes 5 wheels and 4 tires. I did not purchase the 5th tire to be used as the "spare." Instead I purchased a wheel cover and covered the stock spare wheel/tire.) When vehicle is sold I will put the original 18" aluminum wheels in painted satin silver with PS255/70R18 OWL On-/Off road tires stock wheels and tires back on the Jeep for delivery. I've included a photo of the original wheel/tire that is currently the spare tire on the Jeep. You can view the before and after with original stock wheels tires vs. the after-market wheels tires at midwestcustomtrucks.com     Go to Custom Gallery, Jeep and view my Jeep as posted on page 2.

Local pick up only. Jeep is advertised locally.  This listing can be cancelled at any time.  You can contact me at (660) 651-2592 or (660) 263-5389.

After-market wheels and tires can be purchased for additional price. Winning bid includes original/stock wheels and tires only.

Winner must submit $500 deposit payable via PayPal within 24 hours of winning bid/auction.  Balance due upon delivery via cash or verifiable funds.  Jeep and title will not be released otherwise.

Thanks for looking.

Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.

NHTSA upgrading Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango headliner fire probe

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation into headliner fires experienced by a small number of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango owners has been upgraded to an engineering analysis, the step before the initiation of a recall. In August last year the investigation began with 146,000 Grand Cherokees from 2012 after three complaints were received, but a report on Edmunds says it has been expanded to include 593,299 vehicles covering the 2011-2013 model years for the Jeep and the Dodge Durango, which uses the same headliner assembly, because of possibly 52 incidents of fire.
In some of those incidents drivers have reported a burning odor, smoke or open flames that were contained to the headliner or migrated to another area of the passenger compartment. The culprit has apparently been found: NHTSA blaming an electrical short in the sun visor vanity light wiring, which is routed under the headliner and held in place by three screws. Chrysler began its own probe into the issue when it was first reported and is still looking into the situation while, "fully supporting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation."

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
